If you’ve ever built an integration using an 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 or 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹, you know the challenge: Your Apex tests pass with mocks… but the real endpoint can still fail because of authentication issues, serialization mismatches, timeouts, or unexpected responses. 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 ’𝟮��� introduces Apex Integration Tests to help catch those issues earlier. 🔑 What’s new? ✅ 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗧𝗧𝗣 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 — Test actual external endpoints and External Services without requiring mocks. ✅ @𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 — Validate real request-response flows and actual side effects. ✅ @𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 — Create shared test data once for the entire integration test class. ✅ @𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 — Clean up data committed during integration test execution. ✅ 𝗠𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 — If Test.setMock() is used, the mock takes precedence. Gourav Sood shared thisSalesforce and Anthropic just announced Claudeforce. I’ve been on both sides of this fence for a while now, so a few things jumped out at me. 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱e: 37 prebuilt sales skills - meeting prep, deal health, pipeline reviews. Claude reasons over live Salesforce data and takes governed actions, without opening the Salesforce UI. 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲: Claude is now the reasoning model inside Agentforce, powering Agentforce Vibes and Agentforce Coworker by default. 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸: Claude becomes the default model for Slack, running Slackbot and the wider AI experience there. The interface to Salesforce no longer has to be Salesforce. AI becomes the front door. Salesforce stays the trusted system underneath — the data, the workflows, the business logic, the governance. As someone running both a Salesforce practice and a Claude practice, this isn’t theoretical for me. It’s the exact bet we made building out our Claude consulting line at Zenyus AI Salesforce in Claude is in pilot now. Open beta expected in September. Sounds like it shouldn't work. Most people I tell assume it doesn't. But here's what actually happened. When Zenyus AI hired me, I thought the first thing I needed to learn was Salesforce. Marketing Cloud. NPSP. The tech stack. Wrong. The first thing I needed to learn was what a caseworker in Melbourne does at 2am when a woman walks in with her kids and nowhere to go. Because that's who our clients serve. And if I can't feel that from 7,000 km away, no amount of Salesforce knowledge makes my marketing worth anything. Three things I learned the hard way: → Distance doesn't kill trust. Sounding like every other agency does. Our clients don't need polish. They need someone who'll say "that fundraising email won't raise a dollar" and mean it. → Know their world better than they expect you to. → Show up when it costs you something. Early morning calls, weekend turnarounds, being available in their timezone not yours. That's how you earn trust without ever shaking someone's hand. Everyone says marketing needs to be local. Gourav Sood liked thisGourav Sood liked thisToday marks 10 years with Salesforce. Ten years in this 'Ohana — and I want to start by saying thank you. To my team members, past and present, who've pushed, challenged, and grown with me. To our customers, who trusted us with their most important transformations. And to our partners, who built alongside us every step of the way. This milestone is as much yours as it is mine. The biggest thank you goes to my wife Kim Beijer and my kids Obbe Reinders and Pleun Reinders, who taught me long before 2016 that we are in this together no matter what! Ten years also means ten years of continuous learning. Here are 5 leadership lessons that stuck with me along the way. A special thank you to all the leaders I’ve had the privilege to work with: Bob Vanstraelen, Miguel Milano, Alexa Vignone, Lori Steele, Mark Wakelin, Joseph Inzerillo, Jeff Amann, Eran Agrios, Arsenio Otero, Daniel Moriceau, Yana Petrova, Ulrik Nehammer, Simon Short, Marco Clazing, Nina Gmachl-Eshuis, Peter-Hendrik van de Poppe, and many more! 1. We're part of a unique ecosystem. Everything we do centers on helping customers connect to their customers in a whole new way. In this new AI era, that mission has never been more exciting. We continuously see the power of this ecosystem: driving change at speed and scale without losing sight of our core values. 2. Resilience and persistence beat the rollercoaster. Growth comes with highs and lows. One day you feel like the hero; the next, like a zero. What matters is resilience. As a leader, you have to hold two horizons at once: delivering this quarter's performance while simultaneously building the mid-term changes your business needs. 3. People first. Always. Authentic leadership proves itself under pressure — especially when your plan falls apart on day one and you have to adapt. Change is the only constant, and navigating it is a team effort every single day. 4. Real transformation needs real pressure. True business transformation only happens when there's enough pressure — and when it becomes personal for the customer’s leadership team. Without that, you get a like-for-like technology swap at best. In this agentic era, navigating the road ahead requires both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation from everyone involved, especially senior leadership. 5. Build vs. buy is still the question. Even as AI unlocks near-unlimited possibilities, the build-vs-buy debate remains as relevant as ever. The real question is: where should you focus your energy to uniquely compete? Identify what truly sets your business apart, and leverage standard platform capabilities for the rest so you can focus your time on people, process, and data. Here's to the next 10 years!

The new “𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐀𝐩𝐞𝐱 𝐀𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬” release update prevents managed packages from using UserInfo.getSessionId() to authenticate API calls and execute Anonymous Apex. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬? Anonymous Apex allows code to be compiled and executed dynamically. When used by managed packages, this can create: 1. Security and least-privilege concerns 2. Reduced auditability 3. A pathway for arbitrary code execution outside normal packaging controls 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧? 📦 𝐈𝐒𝐕𝐬 & 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 — especially if your package uses UserInfo.getSessionId() or Anonymous Apex for setup, migrations, or maintenance. 🛡️ 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐬 & 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 — test the update in a Sandbox and check that installed packages and business processes continue to work as expected.
