Organizing and running OmniStudio training sessions for our team was an absolute blast, and I had the privilege of working with some of the most talented individuals in Merkle Australia & Merkle Aotearoa. 🌟 I’m thankful to all the participants and SMEs who brought their energy, curiosity, and determination to the sessions. It was inspiring to see so many people not only benefit from the training but also go on to pass their own certification exams. 💪 Looking forward to what’s next on this collective learning journey and continuing to grow together! Afzal Mohammad posted thisWe were supposed to interview someone (for an associate role) whose experience is mainly from #trailhead, has couple of certs, and has no real experience. But he cancelled the interview, saying he took an offer with another Salesforce Partner as they offered him a senior consultant role. Am sure there is shortage of talent in the market, due to Covid and travel restrictions. But, Senior Consultant for someone with no real working experience? Seriously?? Anyways, we don't do that kind of hiring at Aware Services. Our associates are here to learn and our seniors are here to mentor/teach the associates. Afzal Mohammad liked thisAfzal Mohammad liked thisHappy to share that I’ve passed the Salesforce Certified Platform Integration Architect exam. This was definitely one of the more technical and scenario-heavy Salesforce exams I’ve completed. It sits at the intersection of architecture, development, security, data movement and enterprise system design. A lot of the concepts connected naturally with my experience designing Salesforce solutions that need to exchange information across multiple platforms, support complex operational processes and remain reliable at scale. Thank you to a few people who helped me understand specific concepts in projects I've had the privilege of working in. Matt Coutts Peter Gotsis Manish Baberwal Alok Kumar The exam was heavily focused on understanding the complete system landscape before selecting a solution. Key areas that stood out included integration patterns, synchronous versus asynchronous processing, event-driven architecture, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, Salesforce APIs, middleware, authentication, authorisation, data security, performance, scalability and system limitations. There was also a strong emphasis on selecting the right technology for the requirement rather than simply choosing the most technically advanced option. That meant considering data volumes, latency, transaction boundaries, API limits, error handling, monitoring, replay and recovery, idempotency, resilience and the trade-offs between real-time, near-real-time and batch processing. What helped me most was connecting the scenarios back to real architecture decisions. Integrations are not just about moving data between two systems. They need to support the business process, protect sensitive information, handle failure gracefully, scale with demand and provide enough monitoring for support teams to understand what happened when something goes wrong.
