How to get Quagmire Powder in Windrose
Here's where to get plenty of Quagmire Powder in Windrose.
Quagmire Powder in Windrose is not to be confused with the similarly named and acquired Gunpowder. This particular resource is used to help smelt strong metals rather than powering your firearms, and it's only found across one of Windrose's most perilous regions: the Cursed Swamps.
To help you with finding it, I've put together the below guide on how to get Quagmire Powder in Windrose.

How to get Quagmire Powder in Windrose
Quagmire Powder is a drop from humanoid enemies in the Cursed Swamps region in Windrose. These enemies, typically Plague Thralls, can drop the stuff when killed, just like how Sailors often drop Gunpowder back in the Coastal Jungle and Foothills regions.
If you're yet to visit the Cursed Swamps, spend some time completing the 'Needle in a Haystack' Main Quest. The first objective for the quest after this takes you straight to the Cursed Swamps region, where you can start exploring and making new Discoveries.
Once in the region, keep an eye out for Plague Thrall enemies, which are similar in appearance to Drowned enemies from earlier regions. They appear all over the place so you won't be looking for too long.
That said, they're much tougher so be sure to come prepared with some suitable gear and plenty of Potions of Healing. I found using my pistol on them to be quite effective at managing them from range. That, and my trusty boar Truffle, who you can summon using the Boar Whistle if you have it!
At the time of writing, it's not yet known if there's a recipe for crafting Quagmire Powder back at your base but I'll update this page if I find one.
How to use Quagmire Powder in Windrose
Quagmire Powder is used for smelting Mire Metal Ingots in Windrose. Rather than use Charcoal to smelt this particular ore (as you typically would with Copper and Iron), Mire Metal instead needs Quagmire Powder to be processed.
This means that to upgrade your gear or craft the high-level weapons you want, you're likely going to need to go about gathering a lot of the stuff alongside Ancient Scraps.
