The Sableye's Gem Hunt event gives you the chance to add Sableye, along with its habitat, to the world of Pokémon Pokopia. You can also get a range of new treasure hunter-themed items by exchanging Red Crystal Fragments with Sableye in its Pokémon Center shop. Down below I'll walk you through everything you need to know about this Pokopia event, including how to make Sableye's habitat.

Event Duration: 29th April to 14th May at 4:59am (local time)

Sableye's Gem Hunt event explained

While the Sableye's Gem Hunt event runs from 29th April to 14th May in Pokopia, you can always time travel to it. Just make sure you've rebuilt at least one Pokémon Center and unlocked Dream Islands to ensure you can access the event.

When the event is running, you'll begin the game with a notification informing you, 'A Pokémon is the talk of the town!' After reading this, head to the nearest rebuilt Pokémon Center to find it decorated with gems. You'll also find Sableye walking around nearby, so stop by for a quick chat.

During this conversation, Sableye will ask you to gather Red Crystal Fragments and will set up its shop inside the Pokémon Center afterwards.

Red Crystal locations: How to get Red Crystal Fragments in Pokopia

Red Crystal Fragments are found by breaking the large Red Crystals on Dream Islands using Rock Smash. These Red Crystals will appear on any Dream Island, so you're free to use whichever doll you choose. For every Red Crystal smashed, you'll receive four Red Crystal Fragments.

The Red Crystals can be found both outside and inside the cave systems on Dream Islands. I did, however, find more Red Crystals located inside the caves. Due to this, you might want to focus on visiting Dream Islands which typically have larger cave systems - such as the Clefairy Doll Dream Island as it's themed around Rocky Ridges - if you want to farm Red Crystal Fragments to purchase this event's items.

Sableye habitat in Pokopia

The Treasure-Hunting Set is Sableye's habitat in Pokopia. To make this habitat, you need:

  • x1 Adventure Kit
  • x1 Map and Compass
  • x1 Treasure

All three items can be purchased using Red Crystal Fragments from Sableye's shop inside any Pokémon Center while the Sableye's Gem Hunt event is running. You need 20 Red Crystal Fragments in total to purchase all three items to add it to your Habitat Dex.

Just keep in mind that you can't move Sableye into its habitat while the Sableye's Gem Hunt event is running, because it's too busy running the event shop.

All Sableye's Gem Hunt items listed

All of the Sableye's Gem Hunt items can be purchased from Sableye's shop inside every Pokémon Center you've rebuilt in Pokopia. Each one can be brought for a specific number of Red Crystal Fragments and here's a full item list to help you plan your purchases:
