When it was announced that Pokemon Legends: Z-A would take place solely within the borders of Lumiose City, there were questions about possible indoor areas to explore. Lysandre Labs is one such indoor space that boasts a decent-sized map where you can battle and catch rare wild Pokemon.
If you've been trying to collect all the pseudo-legendary Pokemon to complete your Pokedex, you'll need to head to Lysandre Labs to find certain spawns exclusive to this area. Whether you need a Beldum to build your perfect late-game team or just want to fill your Pokedex, Lysandre Labs is an essential spot for catching Pokemon.
How Do You Get Into Lysandre Labs?
Lysandre Labs is not available from the start; instead, you must begin Main Mission 35 to gain entry to this location.
Once you unlock this area in the main story, you're free to return at any time to finish catching Pokemon, collecting items on the floor, or shiny hunting your favorites.
Head to Magenta Sector 2 on Magenta Street in the northwestern quadrant of Lumiose City to find the Lysandre Cafe. Enter the Lysandre Cafe, and you'll find a door directly in front of you leading down into Lysandre Labs.
Which Pokemon Can You Catch In Lysandre Labs?
Lysandre Labs is a maze-like area that features over a dozen unique spawn points for 11 different possible Pokemon that you can catch in this area.

Two of the rarer spawns in the game are in the northernmost purple room, which you can shiny hunt by repeatedly using the teleporter in the entrance room. |
Thanks to the teleporter system within Lysandre Labs, this location is a fantastic spot to shiny hunt some of the rarest Pokemon in the game.
To do so, find a teleporter that brings you close enough to the desired Pokemon to cause it to spawn, then teleport away. Repeat this process, and eventually you will find a shiny.
Thanks to the game's ability to store up to ten shinies on the map at once without despawning them, you don't have to worry about checking the spawns every time.
