Purchase From A Store

The Stone Emporium on Vernal Avenue, on the southern side of Lumiose City, sells Evolution Stones.

Find As An Item

  • You don't have to wait until you complete the game to get your hands on the other stones, though, as they can be found hidden around Lumiose City.

Interact with any of the Red Poke Ball items you find around the city, and there's a chance one will be the Evolution Stone you are looking for.

Once you collect a Poke Ball item, it will not reappear there again (unlike the sparkling items you find).

You could also ask your friends if they have spare Evolution Stones, and then they can give it to a Pokemon to hold and trade that you Pokemon to deliver the stone.

How To Use Evolution Stones

Once you have the Evolution Stone you require, ensure the Pokemon you want to evolve is in your active party and then go to your Satchel. Select the stone from under 'Other Items' and then choose 'Use this item' and select the correct Pokemon, and it will evolve immediately.

If the Pokemon is not eligible for evolution with that stone, a cross will appear below it. If it can evolve with the stone, a checkmark appears below it.
