The bar for product marketers is rising fast. Developers can spot inauthenticity immediately, sales needs enablement that keeps pace with the product, and the best positioning comes from people who actually build with the tools they market. That’s the intersection I’ve been living: • Launched Workers AI inference models, marketed AI Gateway, and Agents SDK as a Developer Platform PMM at Cloudflare • Enabled thousands of sales reps to uplevel their pitch and understanding of gen AI and agents • Built a content generation agent using Claude and Codex that automatically produces case studies with code snippets and reference architecture diagrams, reducing creation time from 5 days to 15 minutes • Interactive sales decks using React, used globally at Cloudflare events touching hundreds of customers The best AI PMM leaders don’t just position these products, they build with them. This is my daughter Izzy and this year in November – December, she will journeying to Cambodia through the charity, RAW Impact, to help build houses for struggling families and teaching the children of the village English. The charity is attempting to build 100 homes in a brand-new village to save families from being forced into slums and poverty. Through the continuous teaching of English to a second-grade level, it gives a huge advantage for job and education opportunities which will help boost the economy and support struggling families. Izzy is looking to raise $1000 to donate to the charity before leaving for the trip. The money is used to buy building materials and education content for the village. We had a packed room with great energy. We walked through building a production-grade voice agent from the ground up — covering architecture, prompts, tools, workflows- and everyone left having actually built a working voice agent, not just watching along (all in under 2 hours!). Felipe Ryan liked thisFelipe Ryan liked thisLast week I graduated from the UCLA-NUS Executive MBA! I expected to learn a lot in the classroom - and I did. Strategy, finance, operations, leadership, and plenty more. What I didn't fully appreciate going in was the power of learning those things in completely different contexts. Studying companies and markets across the US, Asia and the Middle East, and learning alongside people from different industries, cultures and backgrounds, constantly challenged the way I thought about problems. That made the experience far richer than I could have imagined. To all my classmates - thank you!! I learned as much from the conversations, group projects and time spent together outside the classroom as I did from the coursework itself. Balancing a full-time role, work travel, wedding planning and an intense study load over the past couple of years wasn't easy, but it was absolutely worthwhile. Thank you to Twilio, and particularly Donnie C. McCleskey, MBA, CSM, CSPO and Andrew Douillard, for giving me the time and space to take this on alongside work. And thank you to the faculty at UCLA Anderson School of Management and NUS Business School for creating such a memorable program. And most of all, thank you to Hannah Carr, who saw me through the late nights, weekends lost to assignments, group calls and everything else that came with taking this on - always supporting me along the way. A pretty special chapter to close, and one I'm very grateful I got to experience.
