Miguel Saraiva publicou isto👩💻 Context switching affects how productive you are. ☕ How often have you paused your work for a meeting, lunch break, or ended the working day just to come back unsure of where you left off? Well, it happens to everyone. ✨ Of course, ideally, you want to pause whenever you finish a task and are going to start a new one, but that's not always possible. ✍️ What I do that helps me get back on track is to write a note before I pause, with what I am currently working on. For example, "Solving bug X on function Y". 💡 It might be especially useful to specify anything relevant that was on my mind. For example, while solving a bug in your code, you might leave a comment saying: "already tried X, was thinking about trying Y and Z". Only a couple of keywords will suffice to help you remember the details when you come back. ⬇️ What is something that helps your workflow when dealing with context switching? #productivity #tips #tech

Many major SaaS providers do not yet support OAuth Dynamic Client Registration (DCR), which makes connecting their MCP servers through a gateway like MCP Server Portals difficult or impossible. MCP Server Portals now support pre-registered OAuth clients. Admins can register an OAuth application with the upstream provider, then configure its client ID and secret in Cloudflare. Over the past three months, I had the opportunity to move to Lisbon and work as a Software Engineering Intern on the AI Crawl Control team. It was an incredible experience to contribute to meaningful projects while learning from some exceptionally talented engineers. I’m grateful to everyone on the AI Crawl Control team for their support, guidance, and willingness to share their knowledge throughout the internship. A special thank you to my manager Ruben Alexandre Teixeira for trusting me with meaningful work and making this such a valuable learning experience. This internship has helped me grow both technically and professionally, and I’m excited to take everything I’ve learned into my final year of university and whatever comes next.

Miguel Saraiva gostou dissoMiguel Saraiva gostou dissoWhy I Joined Cloudflare 🌐🚀 Earlier this month, I officially stepped into my new role as Chief Engineering Officer at Cloudflare. I’m incredibly excited to join this team and help shape the next era of the Internet. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across nearly every layer of the technology stack. From building public and private IP networks in my early career, to helping to create one of the earliest CDNs (shoutout to digisle.net alums), to leading engineering organizations at ServiceNow, Slack, Shopify, and Webflow, I’ve always been drawn to the systems that power how people connect, build, and innovate. Joining Cloudflare feels like coming full circle. I’ve been a Cloudflare customer since its early days, using its CDN, Workers, TLS, and global network to build and scale products at multiple companies. Over the years, I’ve watched the company successfully navigate multiple technology shifts while continuing to expand its reach and impact. Right now, we’re at the beginning of another major transition with AI. When I look at the infrastructure required to power the next generation of inference, platforms, applications, and experiences, it’s clear to me that Cloudflare is uniquely positioned to play a central role. Three things drew me to this opportunity: * The people. I’ve known many Cloudflare employees for years. They are not only exceptionally talented, but deeply committed to the company’s mission and the work they do every day. * The scale. Building infrastructure from the data center floor to modern application stacks that serve hundreds of millions of users is one of the most exciting engineering challenges in the world. We are helping build infrastructure for the planet. * The technology. I’ve always loved understanding how every layer of a system works together. Cloudflare sits at the intersection of networking, systems, security, developer platforms, AI, and the modern web. As Chief Engineering Officer, I’ll be focused on helping scale and support Cloudflare’s world-class engineering organization while working closely with leaders across the company to execute on our ambitious vision. I’m grateful for the warm welcome I’ve already received and excited to get to work alongside such a talented team. The future of the Internet is being built right now, and I’m thrilled to be part of it. Let’s build! 🚀 🙏

Quem está a gerir projetos de IA nas empresas sabe perfeitamente o quão fácil é ver a fatura dos tokens disparar. Para resolver isto, a Cloudflare acabou de lançar limites de gastos (spend limits) em tempo real no AI Gateway. A grande diferença é que já não bloqueia apenas por número de pedidos mas sim pelo valor real em dólares acumulado entre vários fornecedores (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
