McCleskey, MBA, CSM, CSPO reposted thisThat's a wrap on year 4 of Training Camp! ⛺ Three years ago I started as a Training Camp Assistant — learning the process, meeting all the stakeholders, and getting firsthand look at what it takes to put on camp. This year, I had the opportunity to take that experience and step into a leadership role, managing and operating Training Camp on my own. It was the most challenging yet one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. It pushed me in new ways, challenged me to think differently, and gave me an opportunity to grow as a leader. One of my favorite things about camp is that it takes cross collaboration amongst the entire organization to make it successful. Shoutout to all the departments I had the opportunity to work with throughout the past few months for your support, flexibility, and partnership. A special shoutout to my Training Camp Assistant, Tai McCleskey and Training Camp team Libby Slater Hallie Wigsten for all the hard work and preparation you put in leading up to and throughout all of our open camp days! Looking forward to another season of 49er football! 🏈

Twilio’s first-ever Connected Government Report explores how public sector organizations are approaching digital engagement and AI, and what that means for the people they serve. A few findings that stood out to me: 📊 The experience gap: 88% of government organizations rate their citizen engagement as good or excellent, but only 44% of citizens agree. 🚀 Surging AI adoption: 97% of public sector organizations have implemented at least one AI use case, a 50% increase since 2024. 💡 The trust disconnect: 86% of organizations believe they’re transparent about how AI uses citizen data, while only 50% of citizens agree. As state, local, and federal governments continue to adopt new technology, the opportunity is about more than going digital. It’s about using technology to build stronger, more human connections with the people they serve. Donnie C. McCleskey, MBA, CSM, CSPO liked thisDonnie C. McCleskey, MBA, CSM, CSPO liked thisLast week I graduated from the UCLA-NUS Executive MBA! I expected to learn a lot in the classroom - and I did. Strategy, finance, operations, leadership, and plenty more. What I didn't fully appreciate going in was the power of learning those things in completely different contexts. Studying companies and markets across the US, Asia and the Middle East, and learning alongside people from different industries, cultures and backgrounds, constantly challenged the way I thought about problems. That made the experience far richer than I could have imagined. To all my classmates - thank you!! I learned as much from the conversations, group projects and time spent together outside the classroom as I did from the coursework itself. Balancing a full-time role, work travel, wedding planning and an intense study load over the past couple of years wasn't easy, but it was absolutely worthwhile. Thank you to Twilio, and particularly Donnie C. McCleskey, MBA, CSM, CSPO and Andrew Douillard, for giving me the time and space to take this on alongside work. And thank you to the faculty at UCLA Anderson School of Management and NUS Business School for creating such a memorable program. And most of all, thank you to Hannah Carr, who saw me through the late nights, weekends lost to assignments, group calls and everything else that came with taking this on - always supporting me along the way. A pretty special chapter to close, and one I'm very grateful I got to experience.

You could tell they weren't used to just playing. ALL of these kids have trainers now, and you could see it. Somewhere between the era of trainers and optimization of the sport, you wonder if these kids even know how to play pickup basketball? Then SLAM gave them that opportunity. Playing at historic Rucker Park under the lights in the New York summer. Packed. People hanging on fences, sitting in trees just to see them play. And watching little boys ask for pictures with the girls players—that's when you see it. That's basketball remembering itself. SLAM really embodies the essence of the core of basketball, the culture of basketball. Before the world gets its hands on it, SLAM reminds us of where basketball started… On the playground. Needless to say in the second half the girls really tapped into the playground. Thank you to Dennis S. Page and everyone at SLAM for the vision and bringing it to life. It’s the perfect way to end summer basketball.
