Walkthrough

Walkthrough for the side quest Paperchase from The Witcher 3's second DLC expansion, Blood and Wine.

You can start this quest by talking to a vineyard owner in blue clothing, you can find him south of the Gran'place Signpost, and west of the armorsmith/blacksmith. Once accepting the quest, head north towards the bank.

Once inside the bank, talk to the Bank Clerk about your account. She'll tell you to get a Permit from Window 1. Head to Window 1 and talk to the bank clerk there, and she'll unfortunately tell you that it's the wrong window for the Permit. Head upstairs and ask the bank clerk there about the Permit. Fortunately it's the right person for the Permit, but unfortunately you require a Form to get the permit.

Head back downstairs and talk to the lady at Window 1. Before getting there, a Bank Customer wants to have a fight with Geralt for cutting the queue. After the fight, head back inside to Window 1. She's not there at the moment. Use your Witcher Senses to find out where she went, and you'll find her behind the locked doors where the other Bank Clerks are. Talk to one of them and they'll tell you "they are on break", so sit on the nearby chair to "sit and wait."

The nearby Bank Customer will give some advice on how to get the Bank Clerks to be more helpful. You can also optionally play Gwent with him before getting this information.

Talk to the Bank Clerk lady back at Window 1, and flirt with her and she'll get the manager to come to help. Follow the manager downstairs, and then open your deposit box. At this point you can choose between waiting a week, or the more aggressive option of fighting the guards and then talking with the mananger to get your money.

Choosing to wait a week will reward you with 500 crowns and a The Reckoner Steel Sword. Alternatively, fighting the guards and getting out will only reward you with 200 crowns.
