Walkthrough for the side quest Contract: Bovine Blues from The Witcher 3's second DLC expansion, Blood and Wine.

You can pick this quest up from the Flovive notice board. The first part of the quest is talking to Foreman Pafnuzio at the quarry. Once talking to him, follow your map marker north, take the stairs to the upper level and over to the dead cow and workman.

There will be some Ghouls and an Alghoul there that you will need to defeat before examining the cow. They are both weak to Necrophage oil, and the Alghoul is also weak to Axii sign. After fully examining the cow and the corpse, there is a nearby crane that needs to be examined.

Go up a set of stairs to reach the crane and examine the damaged area of the crane. There will be a trail of blood for you to follow. Use your Witcher Senses to follow the trail, it will lead in a mostly south-eastern/eastern direction.

When the trail leads to a stream of water and a tree, continue to follow the trail east and you'll arrive at a local distillery. Defeat the Rotfiends here, they are also weak to Necrophage oil.

Use your Witcher Senses again to find another patch of blood, and follow the trail again. It will also lead in an slightly south and eastern direction. Examine a patch of blood near the pool of water ahead, and continue to follow the trail north. Once you get close you'll see the Slyzards flying above.

Slyzards are weak to Draconid Oil, Grapeshot Bombs, Aard and Quen signs. After defeating the Slyzard Female, the wounded Slyzard will drop down, defeat that one also, then you can loot the corpses. The mother will contain the Slyzard trophy. You can also optionally destroy the nearby slyzard eggs.

Return and talk to the foreman to complete the quest and collect your reward. After completing this quest, a related side quest will be obtained automatically if you have yet to start it, Big Feet to Fill.
