This potent Corsair K70 Pro RGB mechanical gaming keyboard is well under £100 from Currys
A capable mechanical board for less.
Corsair's K70 Pro RGB is a capable, full-size mechanical gaming keyboard that doesn't make many compromises, ranging from its full complement of keys to its snappy Cherry MX Speed keyswitches, 8000Hz polling rate and more besides. For whatever reason, the price of this excellent keyboard has dropped down to just £90 from Currys, which is quite the bargain for such a feature-rich choice, and one of the best prices we've seen it at for quite some time.

Corsair K70 Pro RGB keyboard (Cherry MX Speed, full-size, 8000Hz polling)Now £89.99 |
The K70 Pro RGB provides a fetching black chassis, complete with a full complement of keys for a functional layout, as well as handy extras including multimedia controls and a comfortable wristrest. It also comes with extra quality of life improvements including textured PBT keycaps, which are more durable than the cheaper ABS options found elsewhere, and also feel excellent under-finger for an extra touch of quality that's becoming more commonplace on keyboards these days. Internally, there's also an 8000Hz wired polling rate for more frequent input reporting and for potentially even lower latency. It's there more for pro players than for us mere mortals, but is still handy to have on a wired 'board where it won't sap at its battery life. Plus, there's a good smattering of RGB here, and it's all controllable and addressable in Corair's iCUE software.
This particular variant features Cherry's MX Speed switches, rather than Corsairs' own optical OPX switches that can be found in other variants of this keyboard. They aren't any clones, but the real deal - for a keyboard at this price, that's excellent. They provide a light and linear keypress with no bump or click, so are ideal for fast-paced gaming and general productivity work, and come with a slightly higher actuation point than more standard MX switches (such as MX Reds) to make keypresses that little bit snappier. I've used Speeds in various keyboards over several years of being an enthusiast and in reviewing keyboards for the last few years, and they've always provided a reliable and lightweight keypress.
If you want to grab a potent full-size mechanical keyboard for a song, this Corsair K70 Pro RGB is a steal from Currys at well under £100.
