These two lovely Lego Nintendo sets are discounted on Amazon and ready for you to build
Will you choose the Piranha Plant or the GameBoy?
If you'fe a fan of Nintendo, or Lego, or even Nintendo-themed Lego, then you're in luck, as I've spotted some handy discounts on two sets you can kickstart some weekend fun with. The cute little Super Mario Piranha Plant set (set no. 71426) has been discounted to £43 on Amazon UK and $42 on Amazon USA, while the lovely Lego GameBoy Color (set no. 72046) is down to £40 on Amazon UK (it's $60 retail in the USA, unfortunately).
These prices are some of the lowest we've seen in a few weeks on the two sets, and are lower than I'd mentioned previously a few weeks' back, making this an ideal time to pick up a set (or two) to expand a Lego collection.

Lego Nintendo Super Mario Piranha Plant set 71426Now £43.00 / $41.99 (was £57.99 /$59.99) |
It's technically an 18+ set, theoretically making it a challenging build, although the good folks over at IGN have given this set a whirl and think it's a good set for builders of all ages with some guidance.
The set is around nine inches in height, six-and-a-half inches deep and four-and-a-half inches wide, roughly equating to the size of a potted plant - wow, who'd have thought it? It consists of 540 bricks, and looks fantastic when fully assembled. There are multiple points of articulation for the Piranha Plant, with its head, mouth, stalk and leaves all moveable, plus you'll find two little golden coins in the piggy bank that's in the pipe of the plant for some extra fine detail.

Lego Nintendo GameBoy set 72046Now £39.99 (was £54.99) |
As for the GameBoy set, this is designed as a near 1:1 replica of the OG GameBoy that launchedb back in 1989, and it comes with two game cartridges - one for Super Mario Land, and one for The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. What's even more fun is that they even include their respective lenticular screens to add some extra detail to the GameBoy's screen. The Game Boy also comes with a display stand so you can show off your build when it's finished. This is another 18+ set, and sits at 421 bricks needed to build it.
If you want to get some last minute LEGO fun in before the weekend, these two discounted Lego Nintendo sets from Amazon are fantastic.
