A new event in Arc Raiders is officially live, and it's all about being friendly to your fellow players. Dubbed "Shared Watch," this event revolves around players working together to destroy the ARC so they can earn unique cosmetic rewards.
However, unlike the Flickering Flames event, there are no projects or unique materials for you to collect this time. However, players can still earn unique rewards and some solid Epic-tier blueprints for their trouble. So if you're in the mood for PvE, here's everything you need to know about the new Shared Watch event.
How To Earn Merits
The big draw of the new event is, of course, all the rewards you will earn by participating. As with previous events, you will need to earn Merits, which can only be obtained by damaging, destroying, or assisting in the destruction of ARC enemies. It doesn't matter what map or event you play on, so long as you destroy ARC, you will earn Merits towards your event tracker.
Killing fellow Raiders, looting, and completing quests will give you zero progress towards this event tracker. So if you want to earn the rewards, you'll want to focus on shooting the ARC and the ARC alone. Because of this, I recommend loading into events such as the Matriarch or Harvester, as players will almost certainly be working together to wipe out these ARCs.
For reference, when I loaded into a Matriarch event and used my Hullcracker, I earned a little over 200 Merits upon extracting. This is roughly four levels' worth of rewards on the event tracker, so if you have the gear and money, going into these boss events can help you quickly rank up through the event tracker.
If you're down on money, I recommend focusing on destroying as many of the smaller ARC, such as Wasps, Fireballs, and Hornets as possible. While this will make the process a bit slower, it can at least give you progress towards your event tracker so you can earn some of the new rewards.
Shared Watch Event Rewards
Speaking of rewards, there are 21 items you can earn by completing the entire Shared Watch event tracker. These range from a new cosmetic skin, a hat for Scrapy, two Epic blueprints, and Raider Tokens. Below is a full chart with every reward, what type it is, and how many Merits you need to earn to unlock it.
Remember, this isn't like the Decks where you can pick and choose what you want. All rewards are earned sequentially, so you'll need to do a bit of grinding if you want the hat for Scrapy.

Cold Snap Map Event Returns
Finally, while there is no new map event tied to Shared Watch, the Flickering Flame's Cold Snap event is returning. For those who missed playing during this event, Cold Snap can take place on every map except Stella Montis and sees the topside hit with a harsh blizzard. Not only does this make it difficult to see due to the storm, but if you're outside too long, you'll begin developing frostbite and take damage.
You can prevent frostbite by going indoors or into most dilapidated structures that have walls and a roof. You can tell when you're building up frostbite due to the snow appearing on your character model, which will begin to melt away when you're not longer out in the cold. Keep this in mind when playing on maps like Blue Gate where a lot of the level revolves around big, wide open areas you have to run through.
Additionally, Candleberries are back but serve no purpose this time around. They aren't used in any crafting, and collecting them won't get you anything special. There's really no reason to harvest them outside of selling the berries back in Speranza for money. You can also make and throw snowballs, but once again, it's not tied to any trial, quest, or crafting recipe, so you can largely ignore them.
The Shared Watch event is currently live and runs until February 24th.
