Reading is an important activity, in the real world, and in the fictional world of Arc Raiders. It's a great way to get the imagination going and give you something to focus on, and in a world utterly devastated by the machines known as ARC, the people of Speranza need a few fun distractions.
Arc Raiders: Source Of The Contamination Quest Walkthrough
Source Of The Contamination is one of the easier quests in Arc Raiders that can be done by reaching a certain location.
The city of Speranza already has a small library, but that's a lot of books for a lot of people, and eventually, they're going to get bored with reading the same selection over and over. Apollo's looking to expand the Speranzan library with a few new books, and what better place to find some than an old library?
Where To Find All Three Books For The Library
Building A Library is one of Apollo's quests, and this one is unlocked by completing the previous quest, Digging Up Dirt, from Celeste. You'll be returning to the Buried City, but this time you'll need to head to the Library across from the Town Hall.
Be careful when going into the Library, as a Bombardier can spawn in the courtyard outside, and it can hit you through the broken ceiling, especially if the Spotters accompanying it give away your location.
In total, there are three books to find, and you can find them in the yellow bookcases that are knee-height. One is located on the bottom floor, next to a pile of bricks and a knocked-over shelf near the window.
The other two are located on the second floor, with one of the bookcases against the wall, near the top of the stairs, and the third and final bookcase is sitting against the half-wall of the floor, next to two larger bookcases that have fallen on top of each other.
Marano Park, the courtyard outside the Library, has several Lemon and Apricot trees you can get fruit from, so you can upgrade Scrappy from Level II to Level III.
Each bookcase will drop one of the three necessary books, and once you've got them all, return to Speranza and speak to Apollo to turn in the quest. As a reward, you'll get one Explosive Mine, one Jolt Mine, and one Heavy Fuze Grenade.
