An American adaptation of the Israeli show of the same name, "Euphoria" follows the troubled life of 17-year-old Rue, a drug addict fresh from rehab with no plans to stay clean. Circling in Rue's orbit are Jules, a transgender girl searching for where she belongs; Nate, a jock whose anger issues mask sexual insecurities; Chris, a football star who finds the adjustment from high school to college harder than expected; Cassie, whose sexual history continues to dog her; and Kat, a body-conscious teen exploring her sexuality. As the classmates struggle to make sense of their futures, the series tackles the teenage landscape of substance-enhanced parties and anxiety-ridden day-to-day life with empathy and candor.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Euphoria returns with less than the sum of its parts in a disjointed cavalcade of forced narratives that leave its talented cast stranded in the wind.

Levinson has brought this cast, at the height of their fame, back for what feels more like a humiliation ritual than a victory lap. These actors have graduated from Euphoria High, and the thing with school reunions is that no one wants to go to them. Go to Full Review

Euphoria is still bold, still daring, still lavish in its production. But it’s also still in search of a point to make. Its legacy after this final season depends on its ability to find one.  Go to Full Review

Adulthood, according to Euphoria, is a miserable exercise in futility -- a bleak experience in which nobody actually grows up. That nihilism proves to be a weak foundation for a show otherwise well positioned to reinvent itself. Go to Full Review

'Euphoria' used to feel like nothing else on television. However, Season 3 is beautiful to watch, but the soul that made it special? It's gone. Go to Full Review

The first two seasons of this drama were notorious for adult behaviors in a high school milieu; now the characters we've grown to know are in early adulthood, for better and very much for worse. Go to Full Review

Euphoria didn’t just cheaply sensationalise its wild teenagers, it understood them: how they thought, felt and suffered. This series, so far, doesn’t even try. Go to Full Review

Nili S @Nickipun 15h Absolutely brilliant. The season challenges the audience. That’s why they don’t like it. In 2026, that’s not going to go over well. See more Warrwn D @Wozwebs 1d A season too far. It’s cast have outgrown the show and it feels like they are only back to return the favour to the show that made most of them. Total mismatch, OTT scenes and no emotion towards any of the characters left from me. Shame as S1 was excellent and different to anything else at that time with a sinister and menacing undertone. This is almost like cartoon, Tom & Jerry violence now (The Toe) and almost laughable. Real shame to see. See more Jason F @RT40945344 1d Coming in with dog-awful low expectations... but despite myself, with some affection for some of the shades of the characters. Staying for the production, the lavish colour grading, the music, some of the emotional beats. As it's the final season and all, the low expectations have made this digestible after a long day. See more LacosteTK T @LacosteTK 1d Not As Good As Season 1 And Season 2, But It Still Entertaining Because Sam Levinson Is Not Afraid Of Being Who He Is And We Can Use Some Of That Right Now In Entertainment. I Wish The Characters Were More Together Like In Previous Seasons, Like In The Same City Or Something Just To See Them Interact! See more Jared N @JarCriticson 1d This season is the latest in a trend of projects that were put on hold too long and seemingly made simply to take advantage of past success and be a money grab for studio execs. The only knock against the actors is that they signed on for another season for a show, the performances so far are pretty strong, it's just not Euphoria (My only knock is that fake phone call to Fez, come on Zendaya, that was downright poor acting). There's bits and pieces, but if I went in to this new season blind and you had told me that this was a Narcos sequel, I would be inclined to believe it. It's simply not Euphoria, its a show about the Hollywood underworld using the name brand of Euphoria to latch on to old glory. The story has some interesting points, but it's not a relatable, generational story like the first few seasons were. See more Bismah A. @RT97719606 2d Visually disturbing. Labrinth music is not in the show so the new tracks don’t fit the theme as well. The plot is insane and completely unbelievable compared to prior seasons. Insensitive and disgusting content so sad to see this happen with the show, I loved the other seasons. See more Read all reviews
