We aren't just building; we’re moving into rare air. I spent this past week in my old home city of San Diego with the Cogent team for our offsite. The caliber of people that surrounded me felt almost surreal - not just high IQ creative thinkers - but everyone was hungry and hustling. The very late night lobby hangs were buzzy and laptops kept finding their way open- we had our sales peeps being the MOST sales 🙌😂🫶- entertaining our developers, forcing some low quality pizza on everyone (I’ll let you submit the expense report for that Aziz Kapadia -sorry!), really getting to know each other, planning, multi-directional mentoring, and just ALL IN as one team with one massive goal: rare air. It’s going to be so much fun getting there. In a world that constantly pushes us toward the next goal, the next quarter, or the next milestone, it's easy to forget that life is happening right now. Traveling through Italy with my wife has been a powerful reminder that success isn't just measured by what we accomplish professionally. It's measured by the memories we create, the relationships we invest in, and the gratitude we carry for the people who make it all possible. I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside some of the most talented, humble, and driven people I've ever met at Cyera. The culture we've built and the opportunities we've been given are not things I take for granted. Having a team that encourages excellence while also recognizing the importance of family, experiences, and living a full life is something truly special. The older I get, the more I realize that gratitude changes everything. Not gratitude only when things go well, but gratitude for the journey itself, the lessons, the challenges, the people who support us, and the moments that remind us what really matters. The support from this community has been a powerful reminder of the strength of our network. My father was a man of radical generosity and unconditional love. He believed that the measure of a life was found in how well you loved and supported the people around you. To honor that legacy, our family is asking that, instead of sending flowers, any support be directed toward helping others.
