An article (Crypto investor sues exchange set up by Reform’s billionaire donor, 14 October, p2) stated incorrectly that Ben Delo was fined and given a custodial sentence after pleading guilty in 2022 to one charge in the US of violating the 1970 Bank Secrecy Act. In fact, the sentence he received was non-custodial and he was ordered to pay a monetary penalty as part of a parallel civil action, rather than a criminal fine. We are advised by Mr Delo’s representatives that he has never received a custodial sentence of any kind. We apologise unreservedly to Mr Delo for this error.
