Corrections and clarifications

Puffins | Human Rights at Sea | Carrauntoohil, County Kerry

Atlantic puffins do not solely nest on islands off the coast; they also make their burrows on clifftops around the UK’s coast (Bank of England reveals winning wildlife to feature on new notes, 8 October, p3).

An article about imprisoned seafarers referred to Human Rights at Sea International. It should have referred to its sister organisation Human Rights at Sea (Down with the ship, 3 October, Saturday magazine, p24).

The cross at the summit of Carrauntoohil, County Kerry, is made of steel, not wood (I was deep in heartache – and then my mother fell off a mountain, 30 September, G2, p2).
