How to get Mega Garchomp Z in Pokémon Legends Z-A

To get Mega Garchomp Z, you first need to ensure you own the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Without this, you will not be able to obtain this Mega Pokémon. Once you have the DLC, you need to complete one more Hyperspace Adventure.

With this under your belt, head to the Mystery Gift menu within the Link Play menu. There you'll want to select 'Get via Internet', so make sure your console is connected to the Internet. After going through those steps, you'll be greeted with a list of possible Mystery Gift downloads. The one you want to select is 'Special distortion detected!'.

After that Mystery Gift is downloaded into your game, open up the map. You should be able to spot a new distortion. It will be gold, with a question mark (?) in the middle and be rated one star. If you're having trouble spotting it, you press the minus button (-) to make the map only show distortions. If you really can't find it, try either changing the time of day or closing and reopening Legends: Z-A.

Inside the distortion, you'll find a Mega Garchomp Z awaiting you. Now all you need to do is defeat it.

This Mega Garchomp Z will be Level 110 and, as pure Dragon-type, will be weak to Dragon, Fairy and Ice-types. Be wary of using Dragon-types though as, if Mega Garchomp Z uses a Dragon attack on them, they will also take super effective damage.

Upon its defeat, you'll receive Garchompite Z. Congratulations - you can now have your very own Mega Garchomp Z! Remember Z Mega Evolutions are more powerful than the regular kind, but they also burn through Mega Energy at a faster rate so use them wisely.
