From everything we've heard so far, Grand Theft Auto 6's current release date of November 19 seems to be locked in. However, no one would blame you if you had doubts. Reliable insider, Millie A has revealed that Take-Two Interactive has assured Sony and Microsoft that the current launch period has been cemented.

Millie A has a proven track record, revealing the delay from the earlier date in May, and also hinting at Wolverine and Lego 2K Drive before they were announced. At this point, people will only believe it when the game finally comes out, but Millie A has been correct about quite a few things in the past. Hopefully, they're right about this too.

GTA 6's November Release Date Looks Solid

"Sony and Microsoft have been formally notified by Take-Two Interactive that Grand Theft Auto VI remains on track for release within the current fiscal year," said their tweet. "At this stage, there are no planned delays, and the launch ‘window’ is understood to be firm." With the two big consoles being notified, a further delay looks less likely.

Although, the word window and the surrounding quotes are a bit worrying. As of now, we have a fixed release date of November 19, so the use of that word by Millie A will raise a few eyebrows. Hopefully, it's just the word that Take-Two used internally, and it doesn't mean that the game might get further delayed into the quarter.

What GTA 6’s Delay Means For The Games Industry

The entire release calendar moves every time GTA 6 does, so how will the latest delay impact everything else?

Take-Two has also confirmed that GTA 6's big launch marketing campaign will begin this summer, just in time for the November launch date. CEO Strauss Zelnick also said on an earnings call that developer Rockstar is confident of hitting the release date. It looks like everything is pointing in the right direction for now.
