Running Point settles into a nice comedic groove in its second season, with an ensemble that works well together and new additions to the cast that fit in pretty well.

All that time spent on high-profile pop-ins and meandering storylines sometimes comes at the expense of further developing the core characters. .... Still, thanks to Hudson’s performance as the likable but deeply flawed and self-centered Isla, and the crisp writing that serves up steady laughs in each episode, “Running Point” seems poised to stay in contention for multiple seasons to come.

The stories still feel authentic and layered, and the dynamics between characters are what ultimately save the season from falling apart because of its sometimes-flimsy plot.

Despite a few shortcomings, Running Point Season 2 continues a successful streak for Netflix thanks to the cast's chemistry and the sharp writing.
