Richard Huang shared thisA few weeks ago, I gave a talk on the core skills of a product manager for Product School. Take a look if you want to learn a bit about product management in the tech industry. #productschool #product #productmanagement PS: the sound is a bit low so you may have to turn it up.

Richard Huang liked thisAfter over seven amazing years, I've made the tough decision that it's time to end my chapter at Figma. I actually told Dylan Field at the beginning of this year that this would be my last, as I've wanted to take extended time off work to focus on other parts of my life and spend more time with loved ones. We've been working on a transition plan ever since, so everything can continue on smoothly. First, my heart is full of gratitude. To all of the Figmates I've gotten to know over the years: the culture we’ve built together is so special, with its unique blend of love for craft, thoughtfulness, kindness, and ability to build community. To Dylan and the leadership team who took a bet on me and brought me into Figma. And to everyone in the Figma community who always pushed us to keep building better products and inspired us to do our best work. Playing a small part in this company's epic journey, while working on my absolute favorite product, has truly been an opportunity of a lifetime. I've fully transitioned my team to Loredana Crisan, who has my endless gratitude. She's the reason I could even contemplate a transition like this. She's come in full force since joining last year, with an incredibly sharp point of view and deep ambition on where design and product development are going, and where to take Figma next. One of the things I'm most proud of is the ridiculously talented, hard-working product team I've had a part in building, and between them and Loredana's stewardship, the Figma product is in amazing hands. Lately, Figma has been shipping faster and building more ambitiously than ever. I think many of you felt that momentum at Config, when we launched a vast portfolio of capabilities that turns Figma into a canvas for almost any digital experience you can imagine. We build these capabilities to help people push past the average. We build the canvas so they can do it together, and the best ideas surface. That's design, and it has never mattered more. Thank you again. It's customary to say that one will be cheering on from the sidelines, but I'll be cheering from inside the Figma editor I deeply love. See you in the browser!Richard Huang liked thisWe also shared some leadership changes on our Q2 earnings call (see prepared remarks below)

Richard Huang liked thisRichard Huang liked thisToday I am sharing something I have been building toward for a long time. My first company was acquired by Apple. My second, the largest short-video platform in Latin America, was acquired by TikTok. My third is still running as Vietnam's largest music streaming platform. Each one taught me something about how platform shifts happen, and when the next one is coming. This is Sekai. For the first time in history, anyone can build real, working software just by describing what they want. You type a prompt. The platform builds a playable, shareable mini-app in seconds. Then someone else remixes it. Then someone remixes theirs. Users have already built 15 million mini-apps on Sekai. 200,000 new ones are created every day. When the Coachella lineup dropped this spring, a 20-year-old in LA built a personality quiz in an afternoon that 50,000 people played that weekend. The generation growing up today does not want to doomscroll. They want to build. Sekai is where they start. We raised $26M in Seed and Series A funding, led by Keith Rabois at Khosla Ventures, Nicole Quinn at Connect Ventures (built with CAA), and Navin Chaddha at Mayfield. Each round with existing investors a16z speedrun, A*, and MVP Ventures all returning. Grateful to the Sekai team for making this real, and to the investors and friends who believed in us early and kept backing us: Jonathan Lai, Andrew Chen, Kevin Hartz, Jordan Windmueller, Michael Blank, Rico Mallozzi (359 Capital), Anne Lee Skates (Parable), Yasmeena Faycurry (645 Ventures), and many more. We are hiring across engineering and product. If you want to build the next platform, come find us. https://lnkd.in/gmUMdsFh Thank you Kerry Flynn for sharing our story! Richard Huang liked thisRichard Huang liked thisFour years ago, I embarked on a mission with my best friend Apurva Shrivastava to bring intelligent, empathetic, and reliable AI agents to every service-based business across America. This was a deeply personal mission for both of us having grown up in immigrant households answering the phones for our moms’ small businesses in Pennsylvania and Michigan. Today, I’m thrilled to announce Avoca has raised over $125M across Seed to Series B at a $1B valuation, backed by Kleiner Perkins, Meritech, General Catalyst, Amplify, and other top Silicon Valley investors to fuel that mission. From the start, our belief has been that AI will have the most impact not on the F500 companies but actually the blue collar services economy that serves as the foundation for the entire country. This funding is a testament to that belief. This is the first chapter of a generational company. Our revenue has grown over 8x YoY for the past two years and our AI is driving tremendous results for our customers having booked over $60M+ in jobs just last month. Incredibly grateful to our customers for betting on us from day 1 (shoutout to Josh and Michael from Rescue Air) even when the product wasn’t perfect, and to our investors and partners for backing the vision from day one. Leigh Marie Braswell from Kleiner Perkins Alex C. and Cathy Choi from Meritech Capital Vedant Suri and Hemant Taneja from General Catalyst Grace Ge and Mike Dauber from Amplify Partners Dalton Caldwell and Diana Hu from Y Combinator Jishnu B. and Arjun Gandhi from Nexus Venture Partners Jack Altman from Alt Capital Gregory R. from BoxGroup And many other investors/friends including: Ian Feeney and Andy Linder (TCP Venture Capital), Krishna K. Gupta (REMUS Capital), Ansaf Kareem (Latitude Capital), Nakul Mandan (Audacious Ventures), Cem Garih and Burak Karahasan (Formus Capital), Todd Breeden (Jefferies), Manraj Singh Sandhu (Vicus Ventures), Charley Ma (Pathlight Ventures) We're growing exponentially and hiring across all teams! Richard Huang liked thisI am honored to share that I was elected as a Member of the House of Representatives of Japan in the election held on February 8. The result marked a major breakthrough for my team, Team Mirai, which secured 11 seats only 8 months after the party was founded. This achievement would not have been possible without the trust and support of so many people. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who voted for Team Mirai, supported our campaign, and worked alongside us as party members. I also want to sincerely thank the 250,539 people who supported me in last year’s House of Councillors election. Your votes gave me the strength to keep going and striving forward. I will continue to dedicate myself fully to building a better future for Japan.

Now you can turn any conversation into a polished Figma Slides deck or a set of well-designed marketing assets in Figma Buzz—right from the chat. It’s a fast way to jump-start ideas, and when you’re ready to take things further, just pop into Figma to edit and collaborate with your team. Let us know what you create! https://lnkd.in/gF2QkZRs

Richard Huang liked thisRichard Huang liked this🚀 Big news at Made Card: product launch + seed round announcement Today, we’re excited to share two major milestones for Made Card: 1) Launch of the Made Essential Visa Signature Preferred Card, a credit card *made* specifically for homeowners, and 2) Our $8M+ seed round, co-led by Jump Capital and Village Global, alongside a new nationwide partnership with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, one of the largest mortgage lenders in the country. Axios coverage: https://lnkd.in/eudX8a4k Press Release: https://lnkd.in/e_7mCe5u Fairway PR: https://lnkd.in/dvZXbBBS For most families, the home is their largest expense and biggest source of everyday friction. Yet while entire ecosystems have been built around travel and dining, nothing comparable exists for homeownership even though home-related spending far exceeds both. Made Card was founded to build what the market has lacked: a financial platform built specifically for the realities of owning a home. Decades ago, Amex created a lifestyle and concierge model around travel. Today, technology makes it possible to deliver a more personalized, intelligent version of that experience except centered on the home, not the airport lounge. Our first product is a rewards card made for homeowners, but the vision is bigger: a unified financial experience for managing the full lifecycle of a home, similar to how modern fintechs like Ramp began with a corporate card as the wedge into a broader platform. I’m incredibly proud of what the team has accomplished to date. None of this was inevitable and none of it would've happened without the remarkable people who believed in this when it was just a slide deck. 💙 To our team and especially our earliest employees: thank you for your grit, creativity, and focus in getting us from a vision to today. 💙 To my co-founders, Christophe Van and Alex Song: thank you for the trust, ambition, and countless brainstorms. I couldn’t imagine building this with anyone else. 💙 To our investors - Jump Capital, Village Global, Recharge Capital, Soma Capital, Stifel Bank, Socially Financed, and the operators and industry leaders who backed us early - thank you for your conviction and for pushing us to see the scale of what this ecosystem can become. 💙 To our partners, especially Fairway, thank you for recognizing the opportunity to modernize how homeowners engage outside of the mortgage closing table. 💙 To our sponsor banks and partners - Lead, Column, CoreCard Software, Inc., Visa, American Express, Taktile, TransUnion, IC Payments, and a dozen+ others - thank you for enabling us to build with precision, compliance, and reliability. 💙 To our supporters, advisors, and friends - thank you for every introduction, brainstorm, beta test, and piece of honest feedback. This is still the beginning for Made Card, but today marks a meaningful milestone and a reminder of what happens when the right people rally around the right problem. More soon. Onward. 🛠️🏡💳
