At Hannover Messe, Ozgur Tohumcu joined Volkswagen Group's Florian Lechner and NEURA Robotics founder and CEO David Reger on the Center Stage to share real-world experiences of innovating with AI. Together, they unpacked key principles for realizing Industrial AI at scale, drawing from some of the most ambitious deployments in industry today.

About us
Launched in 2006, Amazon Web Services (AWS) began exposing key infrastructure services to businesses in the form of web services -- now widely known as cloud computing. The ultimate benefit of cloud computing, and AWS, is the ability to leverage a new business model and turn capital infrastructure expenses into variable costs. Businesses no longer need to plan and procure servers and other IT resources weeks or months in advance. Using AWS, businesses can take advantage of Amazon's expertise and economies of scale to access resources when their business needs them, delivering results faster and at a lower cost. Today, Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world. With data center locations in the U.S., Europe, Singapore, and Japan, customers across all industries are taking advantage of our low cost, elastic, open and flexible, secure platform.

We asked customers what stood out at What's Next with AWS. The answers ranged from agentic AI and OpenAI on Amazon Bedrock to how AWS is going deeper into industries like healthcare. One thing was clear: they're already thinking about what they'll create next. Missed the livestream? Watch the full discussion. https://go.aws/4wkS0gD

Organizations want to be AI-first. But the real constraint isn't the technology, it's context. And when your most experienced people leave, they take it with them. Anna Rathmann, Executive Director of The Jane Goodall Institute, and Taimur Rashid, Managing Director of the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center, sit down to talk about what 65 years of irreplaceable research taught them about AI, knowledge preservation, and what every executive risks losing.

Big day at #WhatsNextWithAWS. We’re giving customers both the applications and the building blocks to make agents real in production. You can see that across today’s announcements. We’re expanding our partnership with OpenAI: • OpenAI models now available through Bedrock • Codex on Bedrock for enterprise development • Amazon Bedrock Managed Agents, powered by OpenAI, to build and run agents at scale Amazon Connect is evolving into a set of agentic solutions that run core business workflows. And Amazon Quick is becoming an even more powerful AI assistant. Quick learns how you work, builds context over time, and takes action across your data and systems. I’ve been using Quick’s new desktop app over the past few weeks, and it’s the biggest AI productivity boost I’ve seen so far. I encourage you to check it out. These are just a few highlights. AI is raising the stakes in cybersecurity — for attackers and defenders alike, says Stephen Schmidt. The organizations that win are the ones who understand the value of the data they protect.

Staying close to home was always part of the plan. For Jaymitkumar Bhoraniya, living in Gujarat while working remotely isn’t a compromise, it’s what keeps him grounded. Family, culture, and community shape how he works, learns, and shows up every day. What matters to him is when someone finds direction through what he shares.

In San Francisco for #WhatsNextWithAWS, where we just shared the next chapter of how work gets done. Three highlights, captured in about 60 seconds. First: a new desktop experience for Amazon Quick that changes how you work. It understands what matters to you, looks around corners for you, and works across all the systems you use. Second: Amazon Connect is expanding into a family of agentic solutions, moving beyond customer service into supply chain, hiring, and health care. Third: We announced OpenAI's leading models on Bedrock, Codex on Bedrock for enterprise software development, and Amazon Bedrock Managed Agents powered by OpenAI. Special thanks to OpenAI's Denise Dresser for joining us to talk about the next step in our partnership. Amazon Quick’s desktop app creates a personalized experience by staying connected to you, accessing your local files and apps, and learning from every session to understand your work.
The Quick desktop app is here, and it’s compelling. Connects to your email, calendar, Slack, local files, and several other apps to flag important communications, retrieve and summarize info, make recommendations, send communications, and create agents that do work you used to have to do yourself. Gets smarter and more personalized the more you use it. Been using it a lot recently and is changing how I work. It’s allowing me to use applications like my inbox more like an archive, and Quick as my personalized, prioritized, productivity hub that can multi-task various needs. Still early days, and a lot more coming, but excited for folks to start using it to make the undifferentiated work so much less complicated. https://lnkd.in/gwGTeFzm
