Everyone always asks me about the best AI image generator. The answer right now is ChatGPT. OpenAI recently released GPT Image 2, and the results are pretty incredible. I used it to optimize my desk setup, my lighting setup, my color analysis, my paid subscriptions, and even my posture. That sounds like an infomercial for the Miracle Mop, but I’m not joking. Here’s the prompt: Create a visual-first, editorial-style infographic auditing the desk setup in the attached photo. Show a side-by-side of current vs. optimized setup with annotations on monitor height, chair position, lighting, cable management, and clutter. Rate each issue with symbols like Top Fix, (working), (acceptable), (costing energy), and (actively hurting), tying each to a consequence like back pain, eye strain, or focus loss. Rank fixes by impact and group them into free fixes, under $50, and worth the investment. Include a Focus Forecast gauge predicting daily deep work hours possible with the current setup vs. after the top 3 fixes. Keep it clean, minimal text, no paragraphs. This was the kick I needed to manage cables, swap chairs, buy a cabinet. Update to follow.

We’re making Advanced Account Security available for ChatGPT accounts—a new opt-in setting designed for people at higher risk of digital attacks, as well as anyone who wants the strongest account protections available. As AI becomes increasingly embedded in our lives, it is more important than ever to ensure that users have the security and privacy choices that are right for them. Advanced Account Security brings stronger protections together in one place, including phishing-resistant sign-in, more secure account recovery, shorter sessions, clearer session management, and automatic training exclusion. Once enabled, these protections apply to ChatGPT and Codex accounts accessed through that login. Advanced Account Security is available starting today in the Security section of ChatGPT settings on the web. https://lnkd.in/gREXGJBt

Earlier this year, OpenAI and Amazon announced a strategic partnership to bring OpenAI’s frontier capabilities to enterprises, startups, and customers around the world. Today, we’re taking the next step: making OpenAI models, Codex, and Bedrock Managed Agents available to Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers, in limited preview. Together, we're giving customers more ways to use frontier models, agents, and tools within the systems, security protocols, compliance requirements, and workflows they already use. For enterprises, this creates a faster path from experimentation to production across application development, software engineering, and agentic workflows, with OpenAI capabilities available through trusted AWS infrastructure, governance, and procurement. We’re excited to see what your organizations build. Learn more at the link in the comments below.

Earlier this month, an Erdős problem that had been open for 60 years was solved with help from GPT-5.4 Pro. What happens now that AI is getting good at math? OpenAI researchers Sebastien Bubeck and Ernest Ryu join host Andrew Mayne to explain what changed and what it could mean for the future of research. Watch the full podcast: https://lnkd.in/dr9D6-8i

Excited to announce GPT-5.5, our smartest and most intuitive model yet! 5.5 now understands what you mean, not just what you type – perfect for handling ambiguity, planning multi-step work, and actually helping complete tasks. Earlier models already did this well, but 5.5 moves further toward understanding what you’re trying to accomplish, especially at work where things aren’t perfectly packaged. From my conversations with hundreds of enterprises, this is the type of model capability they look for as they make AI a core intelligence layer of their infrastructure at companies like NVIDIA, Lowe's Companies, Inc., Cisco, BNY, and more. To celebrate today’s launch, Patrick Wendell at Databricks and I had a chance to sit down and talk about GPT-5.5’s impact on joint customers, and how builders and non-technical teams can harness the power of this latest model directly in Databricks’ platform. Congrats to all the research and deployment teams for this amazing milestone!

As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen our safeguards for advanced AI capabilities in biology, we’re introducing a Bio Bug Bounty for GPT‑5.5 and accepting applications. We’re inviting researchers with experience in AI red teaming, security, or biosecurity to try to find a universal jailbreak that can defeat our five-question bio safety challenge. https://lnkd.in/g59zu78F

Introducing GPT-5.5 A new class of intelligence for real work and powering agents, built to understand complex goals, use tools, check its work, and carry more tasks through to completion. It marks a new way of getting computer work done. GPT-5.5 excels at writing and debugging code, researching online, analyzing data, creating documents and spreadsheets, operating software, and moving across tools until a task is finished. GPT-5.5 is rolling out today for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users across ChatGPT and Codex. We’re also introducing GPT-5.5 Pro for Pro, Business, and Enterprise users in ChatGPT. https://lnkd.in/g7KQNhiG

In communities from Oakland to Abilene, people are getting hands-on experience with AI tools that help unlock their inner builder through the OpenAI Academy. Ensuring people benefit from AI requires making it broadly accessible and helping people develop the skills to use it in their daily lives. More than 3 million people have used OpenAI Academy resources to build knowledge and skills— including one million who have joined our online community and thousands who have also joined our online and in-person events across the country. Last week OpenAI President and Co-Founder Greg Brockman joined us for two OpenAI Academy sessions. In Oakland, we partnered with The Hidden Genius Project, Self-eSTEM, All Tied Up, Kingmakers of Oakland, Oakland Natives, and Black Girls Code to host a full-day OpenAI Academy session for high school students and Hidden Genius Project alumni from across the East Bay. He also met with participants at a hands-on AI skills session in San Francisco, co-hosted with AARP’s OATS program, where people explored how ChatGPT can help improve daily life. And today we’re hosting an Academy workshop, also in Oakland, for non-profits to showcase how they can use ChatGPT to help scale their impact and do more in their communities. Meanwhile, in Abilene, we hosted an OpenAI Academy with the Development Corporation of Abilene, TSTC, and Cisco College, bringing together more than 50 local educators and administrators, along with 60 small business participants. These events are not just opportunities to teach skills and empower participants — they’re also an important way for us to hear directly from people across a wide range of communities, gather feedback, and continue building tools that better serve and empower them.

A word from OpenAI and Microsoft's Office of the CISO: AI models are becoming much more capable in cybersecurity, and that progress raises the bar for everyone. As capabilities advance, we're focused on deep collaboration with defenders to make software more resilient. Through initiatives like OpenAI’s Trusted Access for Cyber program and Microsoft’s Secure Future Initiative (SFI), we’re committed to helping customers and the industry use these advanced AI models to improve security outcomes for all. OpenAI and Microsoft have worked closely for years, and we’re building on our partnership. Going forward, our teams will work even more closely to apply AI for defense. OpenAI will provide Microsoft with access to its most cyber capable models through Trusted Access for Cyber, and Microsoft is committed to bringing the full strength of its cybersecurity defense team to help OpenAI protect their models and infrastructure and defend our joint customers. We’re excited to keep raising the bar together and with others in the industry to help make the broader ecosystem, including open-source software, more secure.
