The Night of Long Fangs

This page contains IGN's Walkthrough for The Night of Long Fangs, the ninth main quest of The Witcher 3's first DLC expansion, Blood and Wine.

This mission will lead to either the Beyond Hill and Dale main quest or the What Lies Unseen main quest, depending on how what path you take. The next mission after the split will recombine that paths.

Return of the Bruxa

It's another Bruxa fight, just like the one back in The Beast of Toussaint mission. While this Bruxa is more powerful than before, she does carry out the same tactics. Give her a blast with Aard to have her fall to the ground, then quickly run and give her a mortal stab to end the battle. If you plan to fight normally, using Yrden can expose her when she goes invisible.

The following sections detail the first path that will lead to the Beyond Hill and Dale main quest.

Following the Trail

Follow Regis as the two of you cross over the bridge, passing panicking townsfolk running for their lives. When fighting the Garkain, make sure to make use of Yrden as this will allow you to get multiple attacks in.

Once defeated, continue to follow Regis as you come across another Bruxa and later a Fleder. For the Fleder, use the same tactics with Yrden and you should be fine

Use your Witcher senses to examine one of the dead soldiers, then examine the bloodstains. Follow the stains until you reach a plaza with two Bruxas. Take them down, with the help of Regis of course, then you have two options on where to go Next.

This is where the paths split! After you defeat the Bruxas, go down the path on the left to get to the Beyond Hill and Dale quest, while taking the path on the right will get you to the Blood Simple quest.

Enter the Illusion (Beyond Hill and Dale Path)

Head over to the next area by going down the path on the left to find a single Fleder. Defeat it and move into the cutscene.

Speak to Damien and he will direct you to the playroom from Syanna and Anna's childhood. Allow Regis to float inside and unlock the door, then head inside and up the stairs. Examine the room using your Witcher Senses, then pick up the book on the left. Read through the book to learn about the illusion Syranna is being held in.

Walk over to the painting near the stairs and examine it to reveal an golden key. Use the key to open the wardrobe, then examine the book inside. Watch the cutscene as you are transported to the magical world set in the Beyond Hill and Dale main quest.

Orianna's Request (Blood Simple Path)

After defeating the two Bruxas, take the path on the right and you'll eventually run into a Garkain. Defeat it, then continue to follow your maker until you reach Orianna's place. Head inside and go underneath her balcony to start the next cutscene, leading you into the Blood Simple quest. Remember that after you complete this next quest, you will have the option to go to either Beyond Hill and Dale or continue on to What Lies Unseen.
