This page contains IGN's Walkthrough for Envoys, Wineboys, the first main quest of The Witcher 3's first DLC expansion, Blood and Wine.

Meeting the Knights of Toussaint

The Blood and Wine expansion starts with a simple contract request on one of the notice boards in Velen. Grab onto the note titled "Appeal to Sir Geralt of Rivia, the Bridge his Crest" to start the Envoys, Wineboys main quest.

Your current goal is to get to the small town of Holloway to meet two knights from Toussaint, Sir Palmerin and Milton. Follow the marker on your map to the village.

Once you make it into town, meet with the two knights inside and agree to fight off the bandits. They'll tell you what they really want with you after the situation is dealt with.

After an unsuccessful attempt to use words to convince the bandits on sparing the village, a fight breaks out!

Fighting off the Bandits

You'll be fighting multiple bandits at once, but your best chance at taking them all down is to try and isolate them and take them down individually. Make use of your dodges and rolls, but using something like Igni will stop several of them in their tracks. Use this time to attack them, or fight whoever is left standing.

Aard is useful at knocking down opponents with shields, giving you a chance to slash at them once they lose their balance. You'll also want to take out the two archers in the area as they have quite the precision and will slowly deplete your health. Thankfully Yrden can be used to temporarily stop any incoming arrows.

After the bandits are cleared out, the knights will reveal a contract from the Duchess Anna Henrietta asking Geralt to stop the killings of beast in the land of Toussaint.

And now we venture off to a new and beautiful land!
