Neutral Cards are Gwent cards that function as normal combat / hero cards, but can be played with any deck. Many hero cards are Neutral Cards, including Geralt of Rivia, Ciri and Yennefer of Vengerberg.

This page only covers the character and combat cards that can be played within any deck, though Weather and Special Cards are also counted as neutral. Take a look at our guide to Gwent Card Locations for more.

Vesemir

Vesemir, a strength-6 Close Combat card, can be won by defeating Vimme Vivaldi at the bank in Novigrad.

Dandelion

Dandelion's strength may only be two, but his value is far greater with his Commander's Horn ability. This card can be acquired by playing in the Gwent tourney at the Vengelbud's Estate during Triss's side mission A Matter of Life and Death.

Yennefer of vengerberg

Yennefer's valuable 7-strength Medic card can be acquired by defeating the inkeep at the Alchemy Inn in Oxenfurt. This will also begin the Gwent Quest Playing Innkeeps.

Cirilla Fiona Elen Rianno

This 15-strength hero card can be won from the Scoia'tael warrior in the camp outside Novigrad, during the Gwent quest Big City Players.

Geralt of Rivia

Geralt's hero card can be acquired during the Gwent quest Old Friends from Thaler at the Seven Cats Inn near Novigrad.

Mysterious Elf

A 0 damage Hero Spy card. Essentially a draw two cards for free, and the opponent can't decoy or revive it to use against you.
