Count Reuven's Treasure

Count Reuven’s Treasure is a main quest in Novigrad. Sigi Reuven, one of Novigrad’s underworld bosses needs Geralt’s help in order to track down his stolen treasure.

This quest can be activated during “Get Junior.” All you need to do to start this quest is to go talk to Reuven anytime after the brawl in the bathhouse. Inquire about Dandelion and the mission will start. Reuven will lead you down into a secret cellar where you will meet Reuvens troll Bart, who was supposed to guard Reuvens treasure.

Talk to both Reuven and his troll Bart to learn as much as you can about the break in. When the talking is done, Reuven gives you a potion to protect yourself from the deadly spores in the sewer. It is automatically set to your consumable button. To start your investigation, activate your Witcher Senses to inspect the explosion area. You’ll spot the pipes and a piece of the bomb. Take that info and follow the current down stream. Make sure to take the potion, which lasts for six minutes. Follow the current and kill the Drowners that show up. You will come into a larger room with a gate on the opposite side. Kill any Drowners in here and then look around the gate for another piece of the bomb. Take all this new information back to Reuven in the bathhouse.

The bomb blew up from inside the pipes in the cellar. With the guest list from the day of the explosion, you can investigate the pools for anything suspicious activity and pin down a suspect. Use your Witcher Senses to inspect the second pool on the right. On the surface of the water is oil and on the backside of the pool is a piece that matches the one that you found in the sewers. Reuven checks the guest list and someone, who has been dead for a year, is on the list. Leave the bathhouse to check out the “ghost’s” house.

When you arrive, use Aard to blast down the door. With your Witcher Senses, look for a bottle of wine and a riddle asking you to put it away where your birth year is. Head into the next room and put the bottle in the slot labeled 1251. A secret door will open in the main room. Go check it out and find evidence about the bombing. When all is collected, head back downstairs to see Reuven and Triss!

Talk to the two of them. You can either tell the truth or lie to Reuven about the culprits. You can also tell Reuven that he is using Triss and Geralt instead of brushing their romance in the past. It is flirty and helps flesh out romancing Triss later on. When Reuven leaves, Triss and Geralt share moment and then get on the job. Meet Triss at a shrine marked on your map at midnight. Meditate when you get there if you need to. When midnight comes, Triss points out that breaking in is pointless. It makes more sense to sneak in right under their noses; by taking her in as a prisoner.

Handcuff and thank Triss to flirt some more and make her blush. At the gates, it is crucial to stay calm to avoid a huge fight. Stick with polite answers and mention your knowledge about Philippa Eilhart’s whereabouts. When you are led inside, the guards will take Triss away to torture her. To maintain your cover, select the answer “Fine, take her.” You will be taken into the adjacent room to see Menge himself.

Note - If you do not want Triss to be tortured at all, you may opt for a giant fight with the Witch Hunters. Toss the ruse out the window whenever by answering negatively. Fight all the hunters and search Menge's office at the end to continue.

The following conversation with Menge can be tough to sit through, since you can hear Triss being tortured. Select the following answers to navigate the conversation with no fight.

Choosing any other answer will result in Menge growing suspicious and a fight will break out.

Accept the drink with the dialogue choice - "Why not".

Move to conversation toward you being paid for Triss with the dialogue choice - "Your hunters are torturing Triss, but I haven’t been paid".

Menge is suspicious that Triss’ former lover turned her in. Fool him with the dialogue choice - “Witchers will do anything for gold".

As for your reward, tell Menge what you want with the dialogue choice - “Free my friend Dandelion.”

After making those choices, a cutscene will play out with Triss and Menge’s fate. Talk to Triss about your options and grab the keys off Menge’s body. Go back into his office and exit through the door in the corner with one of the keys.

Hang around with Triss to light the place on fire with your Igni sign. When the place is burning, climb the nearby shed and hop the wall to sneak out of the place. Head down the alley and use Aard to blast through the wall. Go see Reuven on the docks and then the quest will conclude.

Note
: If you got into a fight in the Witch Hunter headquarters. you'll have to do a little detour by locating the spy who's letter you found at Menge's.

Head to the waypoint marked on the map and use your Witcher Senses to find the drop box. The drop box is located on the back of the right pillar, facing the wall. Once you've located it, wait or meditate and visit the waypoint marked on the map by midnight. Once inside the house, hide behind the door. During the cutscene you will have limited time choosing whether Triss should kill the spy, or simply wipe his memory.
