What would Grand Theft Auto be without its abundant easter eggs and references? GTA 6 kicked off its references to real-life absurdity with the reveal trailer. See more about them below and stay tuned as we learn more about GTA 6.

GTA 6 Trailer 1 References

The first GTA 6 trailer was filled with real-life references, particularly in its scenes featuring in-game social media.

GTA 6 Trailer 2 and Screenshot References and Easter Eggs

The highly anticipated second trailer for GTA 6 has finally arrived, bringing with it a slew of real-life references, hidden easter eggs, and some teasers for what might just be in the final release of the game. Here's everything we've noticed in the GTA 6 second trailer, as well as the additional screenshots that have since populated the official GTA 6 website. If you've spotted something else, let us know in the comments!

  • Throughout the second trailer, a particular bar is shown on several occasions, first at 1:20 and then at 1:30. After some quick research, it appears the popular hangout spot might just be based on the famous Caribbean Club. This wouldn't be the first time the Caribbean Club has been used as a real-life location, as it was once the filming location for the 1948 film, Key Largo.

  • Towards the end of the trailer, a quick glimpse is seen of the iconic Vice City native Phil Cassidy, who's advertising his ammunition store on television. Could this potentially mean we'll catch up with him at some point?
  • Additionally, you may have noticed that during this scene, a PS5 Controller can be seen sitting on the coffee table, as well as a PS5 sitting on the ground beside the TV. It seems only fitting, given that the second trailer was captured on a PS5.

  • Let's face it: We all noticed just how jacked Jason looked throughout the trailer. He's even seen working out at a gym, which closely resembles the real-life Muscle Beach. While this could just be a one-time thing, the trailer seems to hint that hitting the gym and toning your muscles might be a returning feature. Not only does Jason's appearance seem to change throughout the trailer, but Lucia is even seen in what might be a fight club, and even an indoor gym, through additional released screenshots.

  • Throughout the trailer, and later released screenshots on the official GTA 6 website, several teasers are sprinkled throughout of some of the activities we might be able to partake in. While there is a chance that these could be for show, we're leaning more towards these being playable activities:
    • Store and Bank Robberies
    • Heists
    • Gym
    • Fishing
    • Golf
    • Pool
    • Scuba Diving
    • Clubs
    • Fight Clubs
    • Hunting
    • Basketball
    • Kayaking
    • Races - Most likely both Land and Sea
    • Low Rider Events

  • The second trailer and the release of additional screenshots seem to confirm the idea that we may just be getting pets in GTA 6. While NPCs can be seen constantly with birds, reptiles, and even dogs, Jason's house has a snake enclosure, featuring what appears to be a Python, Rat Snake, or maybe even a Corn Snake.

  • Move over Betsy the Lobster, it's Wonder Whale's time to shine. Based on the iconic giant lobster statue seen in the Florida Keys, GTA 6 has made its own version: Wonder Whale. When comparing the two locations, it's clear that this is just one of the many landmarks and real-life references appearing in GTA 6.
  • As seen in the screenshot above, mobility scooters also seem to be appearing in the series for the first time.

  • Wynwood, a well-known neighborhood in Miami, makes yet another appearance in the second trailer, this time showcasing even more of its brightly colored walls and car culture. Not only will hotted-up lowriders be returning, but a particular screenshot even shows the addition of a highly customized ATV that closely resembles a Can-AM Commander or Maverick.

  • Home to the ever-popular Miami Heat, the Kaseya Center, or should we say the Sahara Arena, makes an appearance! In the backdrop, you'll also spot the Skyviews Miami Observation Wheel!

  • The miniature golf course depicted in the screenshot with Cal appears to slightly resemble that of the award-winning Congo River Golf parks, which have several mini-golf courses throughout Florida.

  • In the background of a bar scene with Cal, there appears to be an advertisement for a small animal park. While we can't make out the name, we can only assume this references the real-life tourist attraction: Jungle Adventures - A Real Florida Animal Park. What gives this away is the giant crocodile statue, which is known as Swampy, the World's Largest Gator.
