As is tradition with Silent Hill games, Silent Hill Townfall has five different endings for players to try and experience, including two 'for fun' endings that are exclusive to New Game Plus. These are the dog and sci-fi endings for the game which we've seen reoccur in different forms throughout the series' history, and they're worth replaying for! To make sure you don't miss out on any of these, here's how to get all Silent Hill Townfall endings.

Of course, this is an endings guide, so spoilers for Silent Hill Townfall lie ahead.

All Silent Hill Townfall endings and how to get them

There are five endings in total for Silent Hill Townfall which change the ending cutscene of the game, with two of them being exclusive to New Game Plus. These are as follows, and you can click on any of the ending names below to learn more about how to achieve it.

Ending Overview
Abandoned Kill significantly more enemies than you have Discoveries.
Justice Make significantly more Discoveries than you have kills.
Forever Have a very similar amount of kills and Discoveries.
Dog Ending (New Game Plus) In New Game Plus only, you can find three Coins and input them into Banks in each area they're found in, then end the game as normal.
Sci-fi-lent Hill Ending (New Game Plus) In New Game Plus only, you must unlock the Strange Door in Haldane Hotel to get the Strange Access Card and interact with three books found throughout the game. Then, use the Strange Access Card on the game's final door.

Before I delve into exactly how to achieve each ending, let's discuss the base ending requirements. These three endings – Abandoned, Justice, and Forever – depend on your Discoveries versus your kills. Discoveries include all Clues and Documents found throughout the game, and kills are, well, the enemies you kill as you explore St. Amelia.

You'll notice a sound effect will play upon collecting these documents and killing enemies, and a similar sound effect plays when using an IV Bag, so a part of me suspects using these may play a part in your endings too. That said, we've found that making note of your Discoveries versus your kills is the most reliable way to go about achieving all three of these endings. Do let us know if you discover anything else of note though!

Silent Hill Townfall Abandoned Ending

The Abandoned ending is the one you're most likely to experience during your first playthrough, and unfortunately, it's arguably the bad ending for the game.

To get this ending, you simply want to kill as many enemies as possible, resulting in you having killed significantly more enemies than Clues and Documents discovered. This is easily done given there's a lot more enemies than there are documents in the game!

Silent Hill Townfall Justice Ending

The Justice ending is slightly trickier to get. To get this ending, you need to kill as few enemies as possible while discovering as many Clues and Documents as possible. As long as you avoid killing any enemies (aside from the Fallen who lunge at you during Part 4 Clara Woods, and The Weight at the end of the game) and collect all Clues and Documents you possibly can, you'll receive this ending.

Silent Hill Townfall Forever Ending

The Forever ending is perhaps the hardest ending to get, solely because the requirements for it are very narrow. To get this ending, you need to have a similar amount of both kills and Discoveries. Not only is this hard to do naturally, but it's hard to keep track of generally.

Your best bet for this ending is to avoid killing enemies initially – as you'll need to kill some later on – then kill an enemy for every Document or Clue you find. If you haven't got this ending once credits roll, stick around, check out your end game stats, and look at the difference between your Discoveries and kills. You may need to reload a save and find a few more Documents or make a few more kills and then try again.

Silent Hill Townfall Dog Ending (New Game Plus)

The dog ending is exclusive to New Game Plus in Silent Hill Townfall, and to get it, you need to find three Coins throughout the game and input them into various Guide Dog Banks. Then, you can end the game as normal to receive this ending.

Here's where you'll find everything you need for the dog ending!

1. Bronze Coin

The Bronze Coin is found on the shelves in the back room of the Video Star store in Part 1 Simon. This is on the eastern side of West Shore Road, marked by the green number '1' on your map.

2. Bank #1

The first Bank – which you need to put the Bronze Coin into – is found outside a store across from the Pharmacy in Part 1 Simon. This is along Main Street on the right-hand side of your map, and near the green number '7' labeled on your map.

3. Silver Coin

Once you begin Part 4 Clara Woods, you'll find yourself walking along a street of corpses. Go straight along this street, then head right. While going right, keep right and look for a brown fence you can open.

Go right again through the fence here to reach a garden. Inside the garden shed, you'll find the Silver Coin.

4. Bank #2

To deposit the Silver Coin into a Bank, you need to wait until you have unlocked the Boltcutters during Part 4 Clara Woods. After this, you'll want to enter the Laundromat on Prosperity Way via the back entrance.

Assuming you're at the front of the Laundromat, head south on your map and look for a gate on your left (or to the east on your map). Go through this gate and unlock the gate up ahead using your Boltcutters, then go down the alleyway to reach the back exit for the Laundromat. Inside, you'll find a Bank you can put the Silver Coin into.

5. Gold Coin

Last but not least, the Gold Coin is found during Part 6 Simon, while he's exploring SWDP. At the very end of the CCTV command console puzzle when Simon is prompted to open the door leading to Valve F, you can then also use the console to open other doors in the area.

Use both the 'open' and 'door' buttons on the console then input '793'. This opens a door on the floor below – where the Backup Generator is – that leads to the Gold Coin. It's where I am standing (the blue arrow) on the below map.

If you wish to achieve both the Dog ending and Sci-fi-lent Hill endings in a single run, you want to collect all items needed for both endings up until this point in the game. Then, save your game after completing the CCTV command console puzzle. Once you've unlocked one ending, you can then reload this save and quickly achieve the other ending.

6. Bank #3

The third and final Bank which you need to deposit the Gold Coin into is found towards the end of the game. After completing the CCTV command console puzzle, you'll be prompted to turn the valve in SWDP to drop a container.

After this, go through the shuttered gates on your right and along the hallways below. Eventually, you'll come to a long red hallway with the Bank at the very end. Input your Gold Coin then go back on yourself, along the blue hallway, and finish the game as normal.

Once you reach the Shorefront again at the very end of the game, a four-legged friend will intervene as Simon goes to shoot Richard, and you'll be able to enjoy a very amusing, uncanny dog ending.

Silent Hill Townfall Sci-fi-lent Hill Ending (New Game Plus)

Much like the Dog ending for Silent Hill Townfall, the Sci-fi-lent Hill ending requires you to collect the Strange Access Card, interact with three Books throughout the game, then use the Strange Access Card on the final door in SWDP.

Not only that, but you technically need to have found all Strange Postcards too, as this reveals a lengthy code that'll let you get the Strange Access Card. Don't worry about that if you haven't found them all though, as you can still input this code without having found all Postcards, and I've detailed it below!

Here's where you'll find everything you need for the Sci-fi-lent Hill ending!

1. Strange Book #1

While exploring Zoe's house as Simon in Part 1 of the game, look at the book that's underneath the bedside table in her bedroom. This is shown below.

2. Strange Access Card

After accepting Richard's gift (the pistol) during Part 2 of the game, Simon is transported to a red, Otherworld version of the Town Square. Before pursuing your objective, enter the Haldane Hotel in the Town Square and go upstairs to find a door with a keypad on it.

Now, all 15 Strange Postcards in combination with one another reveal the code you need to input on this door, and this is as follows:

  1. Bird - Bottom row, first button.
  2. Tree - Fourth row, second button.
  3. Planet - Second row, fourth button.
  4. Bird
  5. Triquetra - Third row, second button.
  6. Satellite - Bottom row, fourth button.
  7. Satellite
  8. Fish - Top row, fifth button.
  9. Rocket - Top row, third button.
  10. Planet - Second row, fourth button.
  11. Dog - Top row, first button.
  12. Pillar - Third row, fourth button.

The door should now unlock, and on the dresser beside the bed, you'll be able to collect the Strange Access Card.

3. Strange Book #2

Strange Book 2 can be collected during Part 4 Clara Woods. After answering the phone in Atlas Square, go into the charity shop that's directly opposite the phone box (this is in the southwest corner of Atlas Square on your map).

After going through the door, immediately look left to find a bookcase. The Strange Book is on here, closest to the window. Interact with it before leaving!

4. Strange Book #3

Last but not least, the third Strange Book is found in SWDP during Part 6 Simon. At the very end of the CCTV command console puzzle when Simon is prompted to open the door leading to Valve F, you can then also use the console to open other doors in the area.

Use both the 'open' and 'door' buttons on the console then input '621'. This opens a door on the floor below – where the Backup Generator is – that leads to the Strange Book. It's where I am standing (the blue arrow) on the map below.

5. Use the Card Reader

Now, after turning the valve and dropping the container in SWDP (this is after the command console puzzle and releasing the clamp controls), the shuttered gates on your right will open. Go through them and along the halls – and down the ladders – up ahead.

At the end of this passage, you'll come to a door with a Card Reader beside it. Use the Strange Access Card on the Card Reader here, then proceed through the door ahead to receive the Sci-fi-lent Hill ending. Enjoy!

After completing the Sci-fi-lent Hill ending, you'll also unlock a new ranged weapon – the Pistol 3000 – for future runs. This is found in the same location as Simon's Axe, whose location is detailed in our New Game Plus guide if you haven't found it already!

That's all for Silent Hill Townfall endings, and please let me know what your favourite was and why! I personally think the sci-fi ending may be my favourite, because I think the only way Silent Hill could be any more monstrous than it already is if it were all at the hands of alien behemoths… Anyways!
