007 First Light walkthrough
007 First Light is divided into eleven main missions when the prologue is included. Some missions, such as The Needle's Eye, contain sub-missions you need to complete before moving onto the next overall main mission. Each mission also has a selection of challenges for you to complete and, since some are related to stealth and others combat, you can't complete them all during your first playthrough. The good news, however, is that you can replay any mission whenever you like via the 'Select Chapter' option from the 'Story' menu from the game's main menu.
With all of that out of the way, take a look at our 007 First Light walkthrough down below. Warning - these guides do contain small story spoilers.

007 First Light tips and tricks
Here are some 007 First Light tips and tricks to help you complete Bond's spy missions:
- Always consider how you want to approach a mission: combat or stealth. Each mission comes with its own set of challenges to complete and some relate to Bond taking either a violent or stealthy approach to a situation. If you want to fully complete 007 First Light, you'll need to complete all of the violent and stealth challenges, so it's a good idea to keep these in mind as you go about your spy business.
- Pay attention to the rules of engagement. No matter what you're doing in 007 First Light, you should always pay attention to the rules of engagement at the top of the screen. Not only will this tell you when you have a license to kill, but it will give you a heads up about any incoming reinforcements. It also comes in handy when you're being stealthy, because it will tell you if you've been spotted when sneaking around restricted areas.
- There's multiple ways to approach nearly every situation. Alongside deciding between stealth and combat, 007 First Light often gives you multiple courses of action throughout a mission. Whether it's pickpocketing something useful or bluffing your way through a door, it's always a good idea to consider where you are and what's happening around you. After all, good spywork is doing the unexpected.
- Take the time to do some eavesdropping. A good spy is always gathering intel and an excellent way to do this is by eavesdropping on the people surrounding you. Doing so will help you gather useful hints that will help Bond complete his mission, whether it's a mention of someone acting oddly or a location hint.
- Investigate everything! Another good way to gather intel is to literally pick up everything you can during a mission. This could lead you to finding a new collectible, information you can use in a bluff or creating a disguise that you can use to sneak through an area.
- The Q-Watch shows the locations of NPCs. Even though walls. If you're doing some sneaking then it's a good idea to use the Q-Watch to survey your surroundings. It can pick up on NPC locations even through walls, which will help you avoid walking into an enemies line of sight when you're conducting a stealth mission.
- Use the Q-Watch to check the details on NPCs. Certain NPCs have different qualities and hovering over them when using the Q-Watch will reveal them. One quality to always keep an eye out for is 'Watcher'. Having an NPC with this quality nearby will prevent Bond from bluffing, which can easily lead to a fight if you're not careful.
- Pick your gadgets carefully. Some gadgets are more useful than others on different missions, so it's always a good idea to carefully consider your choices before leaving Q Branch. If you do realise you've picked the wrong gadgets, then consider restarting the missions with a new selection. Don't worry though, you can always take the Q-Watch.
- Remember to collect batteries and chemicals. The gadgets are crucial to Bond's spywork, but they don't work for free. Instead, you'll have to remember to collect batteries and chemicals to use them throughout your missions. It's always a good idea to grab these items when you can or else you risk getting yourself in a sticky situation gadget-less.
- You can throw your gun. Bond sadly doesn't have infinite ammo and, no matter what gun you pick up, at some point it's going to run out of bullets. Yet, this doesn't mean your gun is useless since you can always throw it at an enemy! Just make sure you don't accidentally reveal your location while doing so. (I made that mistake more than once.)
Hope you enjoy spending time with Bond in 007 First Light!
