Fortnite has well over a thousand skins at this point. So needless to say, there is something for everyone here. Everything from your favorite Marvel hero, to your favorite type of athlete, to a banana man with half of his grisly banana-man skeleton exposed. There is a ton of variety.
The high-effort players are known for valuing the more slender models that obscure less of the screen, skins with more uniform color pallets to help them blend in better in certain environments, and skins that have been embraced by high-profile players. Those are the skins we are going to celebrate today. The sweatier, the better!
Updated March 26th, 2025 by Rowan Jones: As time passes, and the days turn into months, and the months into years, we can be certain of one thing: sweats are gonna sweat. Yes, we've come back to update this list with two more skins.
30 Catwoman
|
Release Date |
Chapter 1 - Season X |
|---|---|
|
Cost |
1,500 V-Bucks |
Some of the skins that have become synonymous with the 'tryhard' player make you scratch your head a little; Others, however, fit like a glove. The Catwoman skin fits into the latter category. Lean silhouette? Check. Blacked out profile? Check. And to top it all off, she's an iconic character from one of the most popular IPs in the world.
However, there is one area where Catwoman doesn't fare quite as well: she is far from being exclusive. In fact, Catwoman is frequently available, and is among the most used skins in the entire game. So, it isn't just the sweats using her: everyone is using her. Nonetheless, it is undeniable that a certain type of player is drawn to her, so if you run into a Catwoman in the wild (and with her popularity, you will), don't be surprised when the claws come out.
Fortnite: 13 Best Celebrity Skins
From Lady Gaga to Billie Eilish, here are the best celebrity skins in Fortnite!
29 Chani
|
Release Date |
Chapter 2 - Season 8 |
|---|---|
|
Cost |
1,500 V-Bucks |
If you could be Zendaya, wouldn't you just jump at the chance? Many players have, and this is one of the sweaty skins on our list, possibly down to how popular it was upon release. Its popularity overtook Chalamet's Dune skin very quickly, showing yet again that Fortnite players much prefer a female skin.
Chani is a highly skilled warrior and a talented survivalist. What more could you want from a Fortnite skin?
28 Runway Racer
|
Release Date |
Chapter 4 - Season OG |
|---|---|
|
Cost |
Exclusive Quest Item |
Players could unlock the Runway Racer skin for free between November 16, 2023 and January 1st, 2024 by completing the Runway Racer quests. Anyone who earned 50 account levels during that time would unlock Runway Racer. This was a one-time offer, so this skin is pretty rare.
Who knows if Runway Racer will return, either as a quest item or in the Item Shop, but one thing is for sure, until then she is considered a rare and sweaty skin to see in the game!
27 Slayer Juice WRLD
|
Release Date |
Chapter 2 - Remix |
|---|---|
|
Cost |
1,500 V-Bucks |
Juice WRLD first came to Fortnite as his regular iconic self. However, the Slayer Juice WRLD skin is the one that players really wanted. His popularity and subsequent sweaty-skin status came about because the Slayer Juice WRLD skin was available for free for any player who logged in and played Fortnite between November 25th to November 30th, 2024.
That unmistakable flash of orange and white in the distance is now enough to make casual players panic. If someone is chasing you down for ten minutes across the map, it is usually this guy.
A few skins have been removed from the list, most notably Black Knight and Renegade Raider, thanks to their return in Fortnite OG, and subsequent drop in status.
26 Caper
|
Release Date |
Chapter 4 - Season 4 |
|---|---|
|
Cost |
1,200 V-Bucks |
The popularity of Caper comes mostly from its customizable nature. You can add sprays as decal on the outfit, change the headgear, and switch up the color of basically everything.
Of course, it is another slim skin, giving the illusion of a smaller hitbox, and has the 'can't catch me' vibe of a bank-robbing escape artist. Although you can change up the outfit to lighter, brighter colors, the most popular is the plain black and gray, perhaps in an attempt to not draw too much attention.
25 April O'Neil
|
Release Date |
Chapter 5 - Season 1 |
|---|---|
|
Cost |
1,500 V-Bucks |
April O'Neil has landed in the world of Fortnite alongside the eponymous Ninja Turtles themselves. However, unlike the bigger-bodied turtles (shells are going to do that to you), April's slimmer model has clearly garnered her the attention of the sweatier players. We're sure her popularity was also accelerated by a few notable streamers running with this skin. While the April costume has certain elements that you would expect to see in a skin popular among the tryhard players, it is also missing some of the key elements we've come to expect. Most notably, it doesn't have that uniform color scheme. Well, either way, we're not mad at this modern redesign of the iconic reporter. We actually think she looks pretty slick. So, at least you'll be getting sniped midair by a snazzy-looking skin.
24 Peter Griffin
|
Release Date |
Chapter 5 - Season 1 |
|---|---|
|
Cost |
Battle Pass Exclusive |
This one is... weird. While we've seen skins eschew certain elements you tend to see in sweaty skins, this is the first one that has seemingly none of them? Peter Griffin doesn't have a slim frame, nor does he have a uniform color scheme. He sticks out like a sore thumb!
Our best theory on this one is that his higher position on the battle pass made him harder to acquire, so the skin is a bit of a flex. Or, hey, the skin is also pretty trolly, right? So, maybe that is playing a factor here? Fortniters, like all other denizens of the internet, are known to troll from time to time. Hell, maybe people just like Family Guy. We don't have a great answer here! What we can say is that this has become the go-to skin for sweaty players as of late. God help us all.
23 Scarlet Commander
|
Release Date |
Chapter 2 - Season 2 |
|---|---|
|
Cost |
800 V-Bucks |
Sometimes, a skin is popular because it is simple and effective, and this is one of those times. The Scarlet Commander skin is sleek and effortlessly cool, giving off the impression you have hundreds of Llama crowns but never show them off with the emote.
She has a few styles to choose from, but the most popular and recognizable is the classic black with red detailing. The player using this skin maybe sweating for the win, but they look so cool doing it.
22 Marge Simpson
|
Release Date |
Chapter 6 - The Simpsons |
|---|---|
|
Cost |
Battle Pass Exclusive |
Another cartoon parent arrived in Fortnite for a special 30-day appearance during an exclusive short season dedicated to The Simpsons. What took many of us by surprise was the instant love Marge Simpson got, particularly by sweaty players.
It didn't matter which style they chose, if you saw any Marge skin – Witch Marge, regular Marge, or Reactor Waste Marge – coming for you, you knew the fight would get you sweating.
21 Kim Kardashian
|
Release Date |
Chapter 7, Season 1 |
|---|---|
|
Cost |
1,800 V-Bucks |
Kim Kardashian was not the first name on any players' lips when guessing who the next Icon series skin would be, and yet here we are. There was no real surprise that the curvy, slim beauty would become a popular skin, especially with those players who prefer that illusion of a smaller hitbox.
A bonus of Kim's skin is that it can be customized with a few fun options, including hair color, sunglasses and outfit styling. This skin quickly became popular and is still spotted sprinting in latex and sweating in box fights.
