Rockstar Games' latest newswire post goes through so much GTA Online content in one go that GTA 6 hopefuls think that an update is finally on the horizon.
I probably don't need to tell you that we're going through yet another GTA 6 drought right now, as the last big update we got from Rockstar was confirmation that the game had been pushed back once more to November. While we may not have had another trailer or any new screenshots, Take-Two has at least been keeping us in the loop on what to expect.
At an investor's call a few months ago, Take-Two confirmed that GTA 6 is still on track to launch later this year, and that marketing for the game would kick off this summer. Even though summer isn't quite here yet, that hasn't stopped the usual GTA 6 detectives from speculating that something is inbound, although this time I can't really blame them.
Rockstar Games' Newswire Post Is So Packed, GTA 6 Fans Think It's Making Way For News
The Blog Goes Through A Whole Month Of Updates In One Go
As pointed out by Twitter user GTAVI_Countdown, Rockstar Games recently shared a new post on the Rockstar Newswire, which goes into detail on the GTA Online Community Showcase. Newswire posts happen pretty frequently, but many have pointed out that this one is a little unusual compared to the rest.
Rockstar usually covers one week of GTA Online bonuses in each Newswire post, but GTAVI_Countdown points out that this blog actually has three whole weeks of bonuses, running from March 12 to April 1. This tripling up has some thinking that Rockstar is getting it all out of the way so that it can focus on updating us on GTA 6 in the very near future.
While I instantly have my doubts considering Rockstar just does whatever it wants to do, and we're still months away from the promised summer updates, it is interesting that the post quickfires through so many GTA Online updates. Rockstar does have the bandwidth to give news for both games, but it'll surely want us focusing as much as possible on any GTA 6 news.
It's worth taking this with a grain of salt, however. I can't count the number of times I've seen speculation based on Rockstar's number of Instagram posts, and this is a similar thing. There's a bit more to this one, at least.
For now, all we can really do is sit around and wait until something concrete happens, but the Newswire post is noticeably a little more packed than usual. It could mean nothing and just be a coincidence of so many events in the Community Showcase, but I'll take all of the hopium I can get if it makes the wait a little easier.
