Neha Jogani Narang shared thisA couple of years ago, my friend Parul Somani began the journey of transforming her insights from personal and professional experiences into the beginnings of a book - "The Path to Least Regret." Back then, I experienced firsthand the power of this concept. Her framework guided me through a significant transition from being a full-time operator to becoming a full-time advisor, investor, and entrepreneur. At first, I was paralyzed by the fear of making the wrong decision. I loved what I did and was supported, so how could I possibly leave my job? However, she helped me reframe my thinking. Instead of asking, “What is the perfect decision?” I began to ask, “What decision aligns with my values and brings me peace of mind right now?” This shift allowed me to focus on the present, considering what I know and value now (and not forever). Right now, I'm energized by pushing boundaries and growing in breadth and depth as a marketing leader. I find inspiration in visionary businesses and exceptional technology. I feel fulfilled when I can make an impact while supporting communities and causes that resonate with my values. This is all possible outside of a traditional operating leadership model. Leaving the job does not mean leaving the career. But I would regret all the opportunities I could not take on while on the job - including philanthropy and family. That made my path to least regret clear. Am so glad she wrote a book about this because it puts into words something many of us feel but struggle to express or navigate. I know that I will continue to carry this with me in the many tough decisions that are yet to come. I may even revisit this same "operator" decision in the future, potentially leading to a different choice. Thanks, Parul.

Neha Jogani Narang shared thisDuring my time at Roblox, I always envisioned Dave speaking at View from the Top. Those talks at the GSB inspired me, making me feel that "anything was possible," and I believe the greatest impact comes from influencing future leaders. Although this talk occurred after my departure from Roblox, it was heartwarming to reconnect with Michael Guthrie and Craig Donato, both former GSB and Roblox leaders, and to hear from Dave. When leaders address a room filled with passionate and ambitious students, the content, energy, and depth of the discussion stand out compared to other public appearances. Familiar with Dave's story, I still learned a lot, especially about his early journey to Roblox — from Stanford days, to family road trips, and following his deep passion for 3D simulation. This VFT was months ago, but it's now available on Spotify and Apple, so sharing.

Neha Jogani Narang shared thisPOWER OF COACHING: When it comes to career advice, I always mention the importance of leadership coaching and the next question after that is "do you have recommendations?" A big part of my happiness and journey professionally and personally can be attributed to Leadership and Executive Coaching. I was first introduced to coaching while at Facebook. Deborah Liu - a true sponsor for others, introduced and advocated for me to get coaching and I was fortunate to have such an exceptional experience from the GOAT in this space - Katia Verresen! Through Katia, I realized that my goal was happiness in work and in life. Happiness was the unlock to success because it was 1) my veil of confidence and power, 2) my push to take risks, and 3) my fuel to keep going when there were bumps. Since leaving Facebook, I have been lucky to have exceptional coaches - Katharine Agostino and Parul Somani - by my side helping me envision, seek, and achieve both short-term and long-term goals. They helped me navigate stresses that I often inflicted on myself (vs others inflicting) - with a simple question "what is the worst outcome that you are worried about." I'm happy to share more details on my 1:1 journey and how I partner with them. But to not make this into a book, the cliff-notes is that coaches are a secret weapon, and an investment that pays off in spades. Leaders in silicon valley especially lean into this. But all companies should support and sponsor their leadership teams in having coaches. PS: It is no coincidence that my coaches were all badass women. Last year, Parsons School of Design dedicated a class to building fashion on Roblox (since Roblox has all the tools to build 3D spaces and objects). Students built iconic fashion pieces on Roblox - both available as a virtual item in Roblox and also for their IRL pieces. And 2 of those pieces were made into one-of-a kind priceless IRL outfits that were showcased at Last Year's RDC. ByDesign TV episode gives a little glimpse into the process. My second time at Meta was one of the most formative chapters of my career. Leading product marketing for Ray-Ban Meta glasses meant helping shape how AI shows up in people’s everyday lives—right in the flow of a normal day. I’m proud of what we built, and prouder still of the team behind it. Thank you to the colleagues who made the work sharp and the days good. From my very first conversations at Apple, this move just felt right. The people are remarkably smart, warm, and deeply committed to high craft, low ego, and true collaboration. As I step into this next chapter, my belief in the promise of AI remains steadfast—when done thoughtfully, responsibly, and with human well-being at the center. People have valid concerns about what AI means for their future, and I wanted to work for a company prepared to make the right choices: putting privacy first, designing with intentionality, and building products people genuinely love. Neha Jogani Narang liked thisNeha Jogani Narang liked thisIt’s hard to express how much my family’s life changed in the last 24 hours. For the last six years, my son has been on an exceptionally limited diet: chicken, broccoli, apples, bananas, asparagus… that’s pretty much it. Imagine eating exactly that, for every single meal, for six years. That would suck as an adult. But as a 7 y/o, there is hardly any event that isn’t food-centric - birthday parties, class celebrations - and he was excluded from it all. Travel was a nightmare. It included packing those limited foods and hoping the flight didn’t get delayed. As soon as we’d land, the first trip would be a Whole Foods to stock up again. But, starting one year ago, thanks to the incredible staff at Children's Hospital Colorado, we slowly started chipping away at the list of off-limits foods. A few months ago, he was allowed to start having white potatoes. French fries suddenly became a staple. He was able to talk about how great potato chips are and how everyone should try them. After that, he was cleared for beef. He had his first In-n-Out Burger (protein style). Other foods I’ve always taken for granted quickly followed. Yesterday, he was cleared for wheat and coconut. (Side note - EVERYTHING has wheat or coconut in it. This is such a big unlock.) We went straight to the hospital cafeteria afterwards and practically bought them out. On the surface, dietary restrictions may seem like a small thing. But they have dominated my family’s plans & logistics for so long. Yesterday, those restrictions became far less, and I think we’re all feeling a sense of relief. The reality is still setting in one day later. I’m excited for him to try pasta. To go to a bakery. To not have a delayed flight trigger a crisis. A whole new world opened up to my son - and to our whole family - yesterday. I can’t wait to see him join in on the fun with his friends, with far fewer dietary restrictions required, at the next birthday party.
