Ken Thewes liked thisKen Thewes liked thisSome people measure a weekend by how much they got done. We measure it by smiles, sold-out auditoriums, popcorn, and a whole lot of web-slinging. 🕷️🍿 This is exactly why I fell in love with this business at 16 years old. Blockbuster weekends like this aren’t just about breaking attendance records—they’re about creating memories. For millions of guests around the world, these are the weekends they’ll remember for years to come. But what many don’t realize is that they’re also core memories for the people wearing the Cinemark name badge. Years from now, our teams won’t remember how tired they were. They’ll remember the excitement, the energy, the teamwork, the laughter, and the pride of being part of something bigger than themselves. I know I do. Every blockbuster takes me right back to the countless opening weekends, midnight premieres, and unforgettable moments that shaped my own career. Looking through these photos, I couldn’t be prouder. Our teams embraced this weekend with open webs 🕸️—from incredible costumes and decorations to genuine hospitality that made every guest feel part of the experience. To every Cinemark team member on the front lines: thank you. Your passion, hustle, and commitment are what transform a movie into an unforgettable event. And a huge thank you to our Cinema Support Center (CSC) teams. While guests may not see your work, we do. Your partnership behind the scenes helps ensure our theatres have everything they need to deliver an amazing experience when the lights go down. Finally, thank you to every guest who chose to spend your weekend with us. We never take that privilege for granted. Here’s to another unforgettable blockbuster weekend—and to the incredible people who make the magic happen. #OneCinemark #BlockbusterWeekend #MovieMagic #Leadership #GuestExperience #Teamwork #ProudLeader #Cinema #Cinemark

Ken Thewes liked thisKen Thewes liked thisLife update! This past May, I graduated from UT Knoxville’s Master of Science in Marketing program, where I was fortunate enough to learn modern Marketing skills and techniques among some of the best professors in the world and classmates who share the same passions as me. This week, I started my role as a Producer for my good friend Amir Odom’s YouTube channel, where we look to seek common ground of social/cultural topics for the betterment of our communities! I’m really excited to build a special community and brand that looks towards a positive social media space! This summer has been filled with travel, where I have been fortunate to continue building out my brand Andrew H Media (official LLC coming soon 😉). Being behind the camera is one of my true passions, so if you are in the Knoxville area looking for photography and videography, please message me! I would love to work with you.

Ken Thewes liked thisKen Thewes liked thisOver the past several years, one of the most rewarding parts of my work has been building relationships with exceptional leaders across the franchise community, from founder-led and owner-operator businesses to sophisticated private equity-backed organizations driving their next stage of growth. I've had the privilege of partnering with franchisors and franchisees across healthcare, home services, restoration, fitness and wellness, hospitality, restaurants, hotels, and other consumer-facing brands. While every organization is different, the most successful share a common belief: sustainable growth starts with investing in people, strengthening franchise partnerships, and building a culture that scales. The passion, resilience, and entrepreneurial mindset of owner-operators continue to inspire me. They are on the front lines every day, serving customers, supporting their communities, developing their teams, and growing their businesses. At the same time, private equity-backed organizations are bringing strategic vision, operational discipline, data driven decision making, and the resources needed to help brands scale. When those strengths come together, the results can be remarkable. As a retained executive recruiter at "The Elliot Group" specializing in C-suite and VP-level leadership, I partner with organizations to identify transformational executives who can drive growth, strengthen franchise relationships, elevate customer experiences, and build high-performing teams. What continues to energize me most is connecting exceptional leaders with the right businesses that drive long-term success for both the executive and the organization. I appreciate the trust that so many executives, franchisees, franchisors, investors, and private equity partners have placed in me. Every conversation brings new perspectives, strengthens relationships, and reinforces why franchising remains one of the most exciting and resilient sectors in business. If you're building your executive leadership team, planning for growth, or simply want to exchange ideas about leadership in franchising, consumer services, or hospitality, I'd welcome the conversation. Feel free to reach out or connect with me. I'm always interested in meeting great leaders and great organizations. https://lnkd.in/eJEqwTv4Meet Connie Paris of The Elliot Group. Ken Thewes liked thisKen Thewes liked thisIt was a real thrill joining Chris Johnson, CEO of Classic Cinemas, on a whirlwind tour-de-force trip through the communities that are positively impacted by four of his great historic (and creatively renovated) theaters throughout the Chicagoland area: the LAKE Theatre in Oak Park, Illinois, the LA GRANGE Theatre in La Grange, the YORK Theatre in Elmhurst, and the 1928 TIVOLI in Downers Grove, which seats 1,000 moviegoers and features an additional cinema dedicated to Chris’ pioneering dad Willis Johnson (“The Willis”). Each theatre is a true anchor of their revitalized communities, with cafes, bars, book stores, pizza places, ice cream parlors and gift shops all depending on the foot traffic that Chris' moviegoing destinations bring to their downtown Main Street neighborhoods. Thank you, Chris, for your generosity, expertise and dedication to your craft in cinema-and-community-building: you truly exemplify excellence in our exhibition business! #ChrisJohnson #ClassicCinemas #YorkTheatre #lagrangetheatre #tivolitheatre #laketheatre

Ken Thewes liked thisKen Thewes liked thisOne year ago today, I started my journey at PetSafe Brands. 🐾 For the first six months, I came home every day excited to tell my family and friends about something new I had learned. I had no idea how much went into creating a single product. Over the past year, I’ve worked across three product categories, made two lateral moves, learned how to build a P&L (and what a P&L even is 😅), became an expert on self-cleaning litter boxes and crystal cat litter 🐱(despite being allergic to cats), and helped launch products into retailers like Walmart and Costco. But more than anything, this year has changed the way I see the world around me. Now when I walk through a store, I can’t help but look at products differently. I think about the consumer research, packaging decisions, forecasting, retailer requirements, instruction manuals, logistics, and the countless people behind every item on the shelf. What used to be “just another product” is now a story of hundreds of decisions that brought it to life. It’s been an incredible first year filled with constant learning, amazing teammates, and a few pretty cool product launches. I’m excited to see what year two has in store!💙💛

Ken Thewes liked thisKen Thewes liked thisWhat a way to start the week! This morning, AMC Theatres announced Q2 results that delivered the highest quarterly revenue and Adjusted EBITDA in our company's 106-year history. At the same time, more than 4.3 million moviegoers attended AMC and ODEON theatres worldwide this weekend as The Odyssey helped power another outstanding weekend at the box office. As Head of Marketing, I'm especially proud of the strength of our loyalty ecosystem. AMC Stubs continues to be a powerful driver of guest engagement and frequency, with more than 40 million households enrolled and program high A-List numbers helping fuel meaningful business results across our theatres. These results reflect the hard work of our associates, the strength of our studio partnerships, and, most importantly, the passion moviegoers continue to have for the theatrical experience. And we're not done yet. With a strong lineup of films still ahead, there's plenty more to be excited about in the months to come! Congratulations to everyone across AMC who helped make this possible.

Retail Media is becoming the new operating system for CPG marketing, so says an ex CPG marketer. Also heard from the CMO of multiple CMO's in the last few months 'Retail media is eating household penetration' ... When done well, retail media is an omnichannel, 'anywhere' system that connects all shopper touch points as a unified growth engine leveraging data to ensure positive customer experience that in turn increases share of shelf..
