John Greek liked thisJohn Greek liked thisOn June 14th, 2026, I graduated from Stanford University with my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science as President of the Class of 2026! I am so proud and honored to join the ranks of Stanford’s alumni, a community of some of the brightest and most talented minds that the world has to offer. Though an extraordinary accomplishment by any means, graduating from Stanford was a deeply moving experience for me: It’s the first and only time that I’ve graduated from any institution, at any level, at any point in my life. While being a high school dropout is a fun part of my story, and a part I love to tell for its irony and humor, there’s no replacement for the feeling of recognition and community that comes when you walk across that stage. To not only walk, but also to address my entire class and their families, was a gift of immeasurable value. Thank you to Stanford University for four wonderful years, and to Stanford LIFT for four wonderful years of leadership. I am so proud to be a Stanford alumna!

Working full-time at this firm has been my dream since I first applied to the internship program way back in 2024, and to see that dream realized an entire year early is a gift and a privilege. I am deeply grateful to Colleen Howe for bringing me into the Point72 family, Brian Mulvihill, CPA and Jean Liu Horenstein for showing me how hard I can work and how much I can learn, and David Russell for making it obvious that Point72 is the only place I would want to start my career.

And this crew is a huge part of why. My Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) US East Bridge Chapter forum pushes me to think differently, challenges my assumptions, and gives me perspectives I never would have found on my own. Because we live all over the world, we meet virtually most of the year. But getting away together for our annual retreat is different, this year in Boston. There’s something about being together in person, talking, laughing, sharing, and just having time together that takes the connection to another level. I always come home thinking differently about my business, my life, and what really matters. So grateful for EO and especially for this crew. ❤️

John Greek liked thisJohn Greek liked thisIf you're running multi-turn agents behind an auto-router, the provider prompt cache is probably going cold on you. Turns get load-balanced across deployments, so a turn that should have been a cache read starts from scratch. Deployment affinity is now on by default for the Auto Router on LiteLLM AI Gateway. Send a session id, and every turn that routes to the same model group goes back to the same deployment. Each turn is still classified on its own, so a session can escalate to a stronger model and come back down. That's what session_affinity couldn't do: it gave you stickiness but froze the tier. Set deployment_affinity: false to keep every turn load-balanced. Building finance chat agents presents challenges, particularly with token limits. The combination of system prompts, user inputs, and historical context can quickly accumulate and reach these limits. Here are some strategies that have been helpful: - Keeping prompts smaller and more focused - Summarizing past context instead of sending everything - Moving calculations and rules out of the prompt and into code Still a work in progress. I’m curious to hear how others are managing context size in their agent workflows.

Im curious do you think the way things are currently are the way things always have to be? We are what? 12-15 years into this industry? Innovation has only just begun.
