For most brands, once the talent is booked, the actual campaign gets managed across a spreadsheet, Google Drive folders, email threads and Slack messages. That may work when you have 5 creators. It gets painful when you have 50+ We launched Campaign Management 2.0 at MOGL to change that. Athletes have always been able to submit content through MOGL. Now, every deal has its own Deal Folder where that content lives — along with the entire review process. Brands can review deliverables, leave feedback, request revisions and approve content without bouncing between MOGL, Drive and a spreadsheet. And as that work happens, the campaign tracker updates automatically. No more manually updating a spreadsheet to reflect what already happened somewhere else. That’s the part I’m most excited about. The goal wasn’t to build a better spreadsheet. It was to make the spreadsheet unnecessary. Ayden Syal reposted thisAyden Syal reposted thisWe spent months trying to replace a spreadsheet. The breakthrough came when we stopped trying to replace the spreadsheet. We had built a better way for athletes to report where they were in a campaign. User testing exposed the flaw pretty quickly: athletes didn’t want to report the work. They wanted to do the work. So we went one layer deeper and brought the workflow itself into MOGL—files, feedback, revisions, approvals, and status. Now the system doesn’t need someone to report that a draft was submitted or a revision was requested. It already knows, because that’s where the work happened. There’s a broader product lesson here: reporting should be free. And as agentic coding dramatically lowers the cost of building software, PMs may need to reconsider which layer of the problem is actually worth solving. If you wait until Week 1, you are competing with more media noise, tighter athlete availability, and a more crowded paid environment. The stronger move is to seed product earlier, while athletes are already preparing for competition, moving back to campus, and building routines their audiences actually care about. Our new Athlete Paid Social offering enables brands to run targeted paid media through athlete social handles — combining the authenticity of athlete-created content with the targeting, optimization, and reporting brands expect from performance media. Our campaign with Prostyl Sports, delivered results ~5x better than market: → $0.26 CPC on amplified athlete-produced content → $0.36 CPC on branded creative through athlete handles → 2.46% CTR vs. a 0.46% benchmark → ProStyl saw monthly active users and sign ups increase by more than 1,000% The takeaway? Athletes are not just sponsorship assets. They are trusted distribution channels with real audience data, measurable performance, and the ability to help brands reach consumers in a way traditional ads increasingly cannot. Ayden Syal reposted thisAyden Syal reposted thisAthlete endorsement money has always lived in the same budget line as sponsorships, meaning it gets approved once, evaluated on vibes, and rarely scaled. MOGL is trying to move it into a completely different budget line, the one marketers actually reload every month because the numbers justify it. MOGL's new Athlete Paid Social offering runs brand ad campaigns directly through athletes' Instagram and TikTok accounts using whitelisting, technology that lets an ad appear as an athlete's own post while being targeted and measured like any other paid placement. In its first campaign, for athlete platform ProStyl Sports, ad clicks came in at 26 to 36 cents, against an industry average of 1.50 dollars, with click through rates roughly five times the typical benchmark. The distinction MOGL is selling is the one that actually matters to a marketing budget. Sponsorship spend is discretionary, judged on brand fit and gut feel, and easy to cut when budgets tighten. Performance media spend is judged on cost per click and return on ad spend, and gets renewed automatically the moment it outperforms the channels already in rotation. By making athlete reach behave like Meta or Google inventory, measurable, targetable, and comparable line by line against every other paid channel, MOGL is positioning athlete audiences to compete for permanent budget rather than occasional campaign dollars. The creative result inside the same test is worth noting too. Content actually produced by the athlete outperformed a professionally produced brand video running through the same account, at a lower cost per click. That suggests part of what advertisers are paying for is not just the audience an athlete brings, but the authenticity of content that does not read as an ad, something a polished brand asset cannot fully replicate even with identical targeting behind it. If athlete social reach becomes just another line in a performance media budget instead of a sponsorship decision made once a year, the total dollars available to athletes scales with a completely different logic than NIL deals have followed so far. #SportsBusiness #NIL #SportsTech #AthleteInvestor #DigitalMarketing #SportsMarketing #SportsInvestment #CreatorEconomy
