Dress for the Job

Anna has requested that you dress for the party, so go into your quests log and select the optional quest objective. Follow the marker to a tailor near Coopers' Gate who sell you the Elegant Beauclair Doublet for 313 coin.

From there, head towards the next marker on your map to get to Anna in the alley. Once inside, you'll have the opportunity to complete a few optional objections by participating in the festival activities. If you're looking to just get to the point, skip to the next section!

There are five activities you need to participate in to complete the optional objective:

• Throw paintballs at the canvas. Near the entrance.
• Drink Absinthe. Behind a pillar near the painting canvas.
• Pull the rope from the mimes. Stand in between to see the action command.
• Watch the mage perform. In front of the statue in the center.
• Light a lantern. In the back overlooking the lake.

Finding Cecilia

From the entrance to the party, walk into the room on the left. A woman with Cecilia's orchid will direct you to a heart-shaped box near the refreshments table. Use your Witcher Senses to find it, then follow Cecilia's scent to a door near the balcony.

Enter inside and the guard will let you into Cecilia's room as he recognizes the Duchess. Upstairs you'll find the lifeless an murdered body of Cecilia.

Use you Witcher Senses to find bloodstains leading out the window. Climb over the door the killer used as a bridge, then climb up the ladder and into the next room. Examine the smashed mirror, bloodstains, a jewelry box, a snapped chain, a precious stone, another necklace, an empty inkwell, a slashed canvas, a hunting knife, a crooked sconce, and blood on the window frame.

Once you find all the evidence, a very lengthy cutscene will play. No really, you'll be here for a while, so get comfortable before the Capture the Castle mission begins!
