How to defeat Ratatoskr in Marvel Rivals Blood Hunt

To defeat Ratatoskr, you need to keep your distance, work with your team to split the damage, and do your best to dodge her attacks. She doesn’t have any special requirements that must be met to defeat her like some other bosses in Blood Hunt, including Dracula and Kingpin. Still, she can be a rather formidable boss to face, especially at higher difficulty levels. Here’s everything you need to know to get through this fight with ease every time.
All Ratatoskr boss abilities in Marvel Rivals Blood Hunt
Ratatoskr isn’t the toughest boss you’ll face in Blood Hunt, but she’s also not the easiest, and can be quite a nightmare to fight in later stages. This boss battle is a lot easier when you fully understand everything she’s capable of unleashing, so here’s a full breakdown of all her abilities.
- Ratatoskr bites players nearby to dish out a standard amount of damage.
- She swings her horns around to damage players who are in front of her.
- Occasionally, Ratatoskr leaps backwards to create some distance between her and her opponents before suddenly charging forward. She stops when she hits a player, dealing damage to them while also restoring some of her own health.
- Swings her tail around, striking nearby players and sending them airborne.
- Sometimes enters an enraged state. When this happens, all of her abilities are enhanced. Her moves create blood-stain zones. Taking critical damage while enraged helps end her enraged state more quickly.
- Ratatoskr enters a sprinting state from time to time, taking decreased damage while active.
- She leaps randomly all around the battlefield, creating blood-stain zones wherever she lands.
- Occasionally, Ratatoskr leaps very high into the air, winding up for a devastating blow. After a long wind-up period, she crashes down on her targeted player. If other players are also impacted, the damage dealt is split between them.
Most bosses have phases, which means their behavior shifts over time. Ratatoskr doesn’t, though, so once you get her moves down, you know what to expect for the full duration of the fight.

Tips and tricks for beating Ratatoskr in Marvel Rivals Blood Hunt
Even with a solid understanding of how Ratatoskr works, she can be a pretty imposing foe to beat. If you’re still having trouble working through this battle, here are some key tips and tricks to keep in mind when facing her.
- Try to keep your distance. This is a pretty crucial tip for facing all bosses in this mode, but I’ve found it to be especially important against Ratatoskr, as most of her heavy-hitting moves only get you when you’re right next to her.
- Consider grouping up for the jump attack. Ratatoskr’s jump attack splits the damage among all players when she lands, but can fully wipe out one hero if they’re alone, so if your team is struggling to survive, consider purposefully grouping up to counter it. The damage isn’t too bad when it’s split evenly among the full party.
- Use the best characters for Blood Hunt, especially ranged heroes. Characters like Moon Knight, Squirrel Girl, Jeff the Land Shark, and The Punisher are super useful in this battle, while Blade and Thor typically struggle a bit more here, especially at lower levels. Choose your team lineup carefully, and consider testing out different heroes if you’re struggling to stay alive and get through the fight.
- Level up and try again. If you still can’t get through this fight, drop down to the last difficulty level and focus on upgrading your character. The higher you climb, the tougher Ratatoskr’s attacks become, so part of the problem may be that you simply aren’t leveled up enough to beat her at higher levels.
