Andy Venables reposted thisAndy Venables reposted thisAre you REALLY meeting your customers' expectations? 📊 90% of customers worldwide now expect companies to offer online self-service portals. 💬 67% actively prefer self-service over speaking to a representative. YET, HERE'S THE CATCH. Only 14% of customer service issues are fully resolved through current systems. This gap represents a huge opportunity for MSPs to step up with better, smarter self-service solutions. Want to know how? Andy Venables reposted thisAndy Venables reposted thisRunning an in-house service desk can hold MSPs back. High costs, scalability challenges, and tech complexity often lead to inefficiencies that strain resources and impact client satisfaction. That's where Service Desk as a Service (SDaaS) comes in. POPX's SDaaS solution, powered by ServiceNow, transforms the way MSPs deliver support to their clients by offering: ✅ Significant cost savings – Pay only for what you use. ✅ Effortless scalability – Adapt quickly as your business grows. ✅ Expertly designed workflows – Streamlined operations, reliable outcomes. ✅ Enhanced client satisfaction – Proactive support and reduced downtime. By leveraging SDaaS, MSPs can focus on strategic growth, leaving behind the headaches of service desk management. Want to learn more about how SDaaS can transform your MSP? Andy Venables liked thisAndy Venables liked thisIt is with mixed emotions that I finally leave the incredible Harris Boys' Academy East Dulwich after 13 wonderful years at the school. It has been an absolute privilege to lead it for the last 4 years, as Principal, and it is a time I will always remember fondly. The staff, students and parents are all amazing and I will miss them all. The GCSE and A Level outcomes this year, especially the transformation in our 6th Form and student destinations at top universities, make me incredibly proud for one final time. However, this is the start of a really exciting new journey as Principal of Harris Academy Beckenham. I want this school to be the number one choice in the local area. I want it to be known for its unrelenting ambition for every single student as well as students feeling part of the most caring school possible. I can't wait to get started in an already fantastic place but one with so much more potential.

Andy Venables liked thisAndy Venables liked thisFive years ago, at 18, I was given a chance most people don’t get straight out of school: a fully funded degree apprenticeship. No student debt. No guessing whether the theory would translate into a real career. Just the opportunity to learn ServiceNow on the job while working towards a BSc in Digital & Technology Solutions at the University of South Wales. That chance came from FlyForm. I want to thank Philip Davies and Arron Davies for believing in an 18 year old who barely knew what a CMDB was, let alone how to fix one. My final year project ended up being a dissertation on why CMDBs fail, which felt fitting given where it all started. Now I’m graduating with that degree in hand, now working as a Solutions Consultant at POPX. None of it happens without that first opportunity. If you’re weighing up a degree apprenticeship versus the traditional university route, feel free to reach out. Happy to share how it worked out for me.

Today, while watching the USA 🇺🇸 vs Paraguay 🇵🇾 match, the camera briefly showed Fred Luddy in the crowd. For most people, it was just another face on the screen. For me, it was a reminder. A reminder that one person’s idea can create an entire industry. ServiceNow didn’t just become a successful company. It created careers. It created businesses. It created opportunities for thousands of people around the world. I’ve spent a significant part of my career in the #ITSM ecosystem, delivering hundreds of implementations and building businesses around the platform. Without realizing it, many of us have built parts of our lives on top of an idea Fred had years ago. The people who truly change the world are not always the most famous. Sometimes they’re the builders quietly creating the foundations that everyone else stands on. Thank you, Fred. ⚽ Funny how a soccer game can unexpectedly remind you where your journey started. #ServiceNow #FredLuddy #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #ITSM #Leadership #AI #WorldCup — Hichem Guemiri, creator of ADVNT “Most people know the celebrities. I am an experienced tech leader who likes to get stuff done. You'll usually find me neck deep into some software problem together my team. In other words, I like to be hands on. If not coding, I am quite comfortable with people management and engineering management, although I would get bored rather quickly if only doing that. I am most at home in organisations with less than 100 people, but am not wedded to this principle and will happily solve problems for any size company for the right amount of money. I like places which move fast and you can make a big difference early on. That's why I keep getting sucked into CTO'ing startups, which I absolutely love.

I will also happily do due diligence and help you with ISO-27001/SOC2.

We’ve built salary sacrifice schemes for pensions, bikes, and electric vehicles. Why not housing? As a Software Engineering Manager, I spend my days architecting resilient systems. But outside work, I’m navigating a mortgage landscape that feels anything but resilient, with volatile rates, rising costs, and no structural support for working families. Here’s the gap: Mortgage payments often are our largest monthly expense, which must be made from post-tax income. Yet other long-term assets benefit from salary sacrifice. Why not allow capped pre-tax contributions toward our primary residence mortgage? Imagine being able to salary-sacrifice £500–£1,000/month toward your mortgage: 🔹 Hundreds of pounds/month in tax savings 🔹 Reduced housing stress and improved retention 🔹 Fairer treatment for mid-career professionals balancing family and financial growth It’s time to rethink housing support not just through subsidies, but through structural fairness. If we can salary sacrifice for pensions, bikes, and electric vehicles, why not housing? What’s stopping us?

On top of that, Alex brought in the discussion about reliability strategies and how AI fits into this APM picture. A perfect episode to help users understand what it all is, and how they can start using it straight away, out of the box 📦 Additionally, you might get to experience a worlds first ever MAS Monitor VS MAS Health RAP BATTLE! 🎤 Enjoy the content everyone ☺️ 🔗 - https://lnkd.in/ekFcG28a #maximo #mas #assetmanagement #apm #monitor #health

The middle of the ops market is disappearing January delivered 451 UK & Ireland GTM/Ops roles. 42% were titled “Manager”, but Senior IC roles accounted for just 6%.* That’s interesting because the strongest ops teams I see aren’t built entirely from managers. They’re built on senior individual contributors, the technical backbone. People who: – Own forecasting models – Understand data structure – Build systems properly – Don’t need headcount to create impact But January hiring skewed toward two extremes: Early-career execution, or leadership titles. The experienced specialist tier, operators with depth but no direct reports, was thinner than you’d expect. That creates a strange team shape. Companies want strategic impact but they’re either hiring execution capacity or leadership expecting leverage. The middle layer, the people who quietly make revenue architecture work, show up less frequently in job specs than they should. You can build a team without that layer; it just won’t be very stable. Titles were abundant, specialist depth was not.* In ops, the backbone matters more than the headline.
