openpicture book about a little boy who eats sugar and puts his head in an oven Literature
so about 10-15 years ago my friend's aunt bought her a picture book about a little boy with many stories in it, one of which is where he eats sugar and then is scolded by his father, and another where he puts his head in the oven. she remembers the title being some sort of an adjective to describe the boy such as mischievous or lazy, so along these lines but obviously not clear which exact one. the setting is most likely central/northern european as according to my friend.
openA book about Chinese animals Literature
I remember reading this book when I was a kid. It was a children's picture book about a little boy in the Chinese mountains who is told by his father about a dragon - he either goes looking for the dragon or is following a lost buffalo... I don't know.
Anyway, he comes upon a golden pheasant, a giant panda and a Chinese giant salamander (and maaaybe other animals... fireflies?)... before finding his way home. The last image of the book is the shape of a dragon in the mountains.
openWhat's the english or english translation of Chinese title of this show Western Animation
This is a serbian dub of a show that appears to be chinese, though the episode title is in english. There's no title drop and the serbian title is translated literally as "grandma kate and curious lucky" but I can't find anything on it with a Google search. Can someone tell me the original title of this show and where it's from?

openAPP Children’s book featuring a cat with a star at the end of her tail Literature
Unfortunately I don’t remember the story, but the art was very stylized. The cat was black and slinky and drawn almost like a silhouette with eyes.
Edited by vulpeculaeopenMovie about a man running Film
I remember watching part of a movie about a man running for his life, which is the premise of the entire movie. It might have the word "Run" somewhere in the title, but I could be wrong.
A student (in Law?) gambles with another man and win. The other man is angered and try to kill him, but accidentally trips and bumps his head on a table, killing him. Unfortunately, the guy was a crook and his mobster father wants revenge on the student, who is now on the run from lots of hitmen.
Any idea? Thank you!
openName of an old movie from 70's-80's era Film
I'm looking for the title and hopefully a synopsis/transcript for an old movie, possibly from 70's-80's era.
The only scenes I remembered was two siblings, a man and a woman, both white. They were trying to enter a country illegally. I'm unsure if it's Europe or the US. They enter and crawl a very long tunnel. At one point a helicopter survey the area at night. At another point, a swarm of rats take them by surprise. They eventually made it out safely without getting caught.
The man finds a job at a restaurant as a waiter and the woman work by cleaning rooms. However, the woman falls ill at some point. A doctor examine her and she has several red spots on her body, possible because of the rats. She dies later and her brother might be in trouble because someone found out he's an illegal immigrant.
Any thoughts? Thank you.
openTwo direct-to-video educational short films that may have been from the same company Film
1. In my English Language Arts class, we watched a video that I believe was called "Quack! Onomatopoeia (And Other Literary Devices)", or something to that effect, but Google turns up dry when I search for this. I remember very little about it, other than that it was framed as a news report, where the correspondent's questions are always answered with someone using a literary device, such as an onomatopoeia or an allusion (I specifically remember one person she interviewed comparing a person involved in whatever she was reporting on to "that there Atticus Finch", because we had just read To Kill a Mockingbird, and our teacher pointed this out). I can't remember the name of the "reporter", but the caption introducing her kept adding on descriptions to her title to describe how frustrated she was at nobody giving her a straight answer. Also, after every interview, there would be random stock footage that was given a Gag Dub related to the literary device that was just discussed. One was an old doll commercial, which ended with the narrator saying something about "And she continues to scare the crap out of us", to which my teacher complained about this otherwise school-safe film containing the word "crap" (it was 2008, and she had been teaching for a loooooong time...)
2. In my Spanish class, we watched a film that also did the "dub over stock footage with something funny that's related to what you're learning" thing, but it was instead various Spanish phrases. One that I remember specifically was of a guy falling from a great height, which was dubbed over with someone shouting, "¡NO ME GUSTA! ¡NO ME GUSTA! ¡NO ME GUSTA!" (I seem to also recall a different segment including a remix of someone saying "Qué lástima", set to music, though that may have been for a different film.)
resolved Tabletop RPG about averting the apocalypse by exploring dreams
This was an pencil and paper RPG from when I was a teenager (early 2000s) that I cannot find for the life of me. Here's what I remember.
- the premise was some kind of unspecified apocalypse was coming and the players must find some method of finding out what it was/stopping it in various dreamworlds.
- There were four types of dreamworlds (which I think might also have been stats), two of which were "nightmares" and "dreams that mimic reality".
- One of the sample dreamworlds was based on the song "what else is there" by royksopp (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4rZE_J1beA)
. This one seems the clearest hint, I think.
I know this isn't much to go on, but if anyone knows, I'll be very happy!
Edited by UrbenmythopenOld robot cartoon
I remember watching an old robot cartoon and there was a robot gal who can retract a computer out of her chest. What was the name of it?
openRPG gag series Anime
I remember watching this old anime series that was set in a jrpg esque video game world. It followed several characters, all of which had the same base of 4-5 character designs (young, teen, adult, old). One reoccurring group was of 5 young girls who each sport a different color and hairstyle, the black one also had wolf-girl features. One gag that happened was a random guy wanting to purchase something from an old lady, where an inventory screen popped up and he tapped the thing he wanted, after that the old lady celebrated much to the man's confusion.
resolved YouTube Video About a Weirdo Guy Web Original
So, I vaguely remember watching a video about a controversy surrounding some guy (a game dev or content creator maybe), who'd been caught doing shady stuff (something about misattributing funds or other financial chicanery, I think) that in some way related to "adult" entertainment (I seem to recall something about erotic female wrestling being mentioned at some point but I could be wrong).
In case it's not clear, I don't actually remember much about the actual contents of the video. However, I do remember that the guy doing the video came across as someone who'd thoroughly done his research and was able to draw up the proverbial receipts going back years.
opencosmic horror Print Comic
The story might be part of an anthology comic, it was definitely black and white despite being made and set somewhere after 2010. The main character has a job posting flyers for a restaurant, either sushi or ramen, and is attracted to a female coworker. The coworker is revealed to be a fishperson and in a Cthulhu cult, letting him impregnate her to create new "flavors". The last panel was Cthulhu stirring a big bowl with the milkyway in it implying he is literally cooking our universe for food
open Dutch edutainment series Live Action TV
I'm looking for the name of a Dutch edutainment series, I remember seeing in the 90's. It was a puppet show with and human that taught about computers. As far as I know the human main character was caught in the computer world and only returned to the "real world" in the last episode after being deleted for not being useful. I'm pretty sure the series was a Spiritual Successor to Ik Mik Lore Land
, or at least aired after Ik Mik Lore Land had ended
resolved Cartoon - boy who does a lot of math no matter what he's feeling Western Animation
There's these two boys having a conversation:
I googled "I do a lot of math and the feelings come and go", but didn't get anything.
resolved Flash video game Videogame
Some years ago, when flash was still around, I played a lot of browser games. There's one in particular I'm trying to find:
- It was a fantasy game and I'm pretty sure it involved combat, so it was either rpg, action, or platformer. Maybe a mix
- The designs were fairly bright and more on the cartoony side
- The main character was a woman with amnesia. I think she had red hair? The only other character was a guy who found her close to his home
- The protagonist regains her memories at the end and there was a plot twist that she was actually a villain. I think the guy was a hero who defeated her before, and the reason he was helping her now is because he hoped to redeem her
resolved Cartoon I only know from a meme. Western Animation
The media might not be right.
Well, all I know about this cartoon is that somebody thought this guy, who could be George Washington but is not, had a big smile, was really buff, and walked like he owned the place, was funny. He was walking with two wimper men.
opengolden age superman comic? Print Comic

resolved YouTube video of celebrity chef cooking upside down Web Original
A few years ago, I remember watching a YouTube video of come cooking show host making something while strapped upside down with all the ingredients in containers stuck to an upside down table with Velcro. I'm pretty sure she made something like tacos or gyros because I remember her putting meat and diced vegetables on a pita bread or tortilla. I think it may have been an ad for the container brand. I couldn't find anything relevant on the Food Network, TLC, or Tupperware Brands YouTube channels, and searching "upside down cooking" just gets videos of people making upside down cake or similar things.

I know I've been asking here before, but I have still not found any answers as to what these two shows I am referring to. For those who are unaware, here are my descriptions of an episode for these two shows:
1) A 2001 short-lived kid's TV show somewhat similar to Sesame Street (I think it was on either PBS, Nickelodeon) with hand puppets and mascot costumes and 2D animation. One episode includes kids (in pajamas, I think) dance-sitting holding a toy (possibly teddy bears) in a classroom, while two life-size puppets in front of a blue tarp or sheet. NOTE: the whole song is played the first time; the second time is the same thing, but the video quickly fades to black and the credits roll while the song is still playing. Does anyone know what the show is? And if so, what episode was I referring to?
2) I remember an older aged woman who was dressed in blue who was pushed in a water fountain one night. The next day, the same woman appeared again with a man (don't know who he is) and was asked for questioning. After checking through the footage, it was NOT from Dynasty. It had to have been from an older TV show.
If anyone has a clear idea as to what any of these shows are, please let me know. Thank you.
