Indian cricket team are slated to depart separately to different cities following their Champions Trophy triumph in Dubai on Sunday. This rules out the possibility of an open-top bus parade, something that had been held after the T20 World Cup title last year.
With the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting on March 22, the players are expected to take a short break at their respective destinations before joining their respective franchises.

Even though India vanquished their 12-year drought of winning a 50-over competition at the global stage, the lack of time between competitions has left little room for BCCI and the players to organise any elaborate celebrations. As per news agency IANS, India head coach Gautam Gambhir is expected to arrive at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on Monday evening.

The 2025 Champions Trophy title is Gambhir’s first major title as the head coach of the Indian team, after taking charge in July last year.
