Sweary Owl House (Pilot episode)

Hello! I’m back.

One of the most popular requests I got was for Sweary Owl House and this is me giving it a try. I’m committing to doing a pilot episode in order to gauge reaction, popularity, whether it works, etc.

I will preface it all by saying that I don’t know The Owl House as well as I know SPOP (but I have watched all the episodes, so I know that much). I lose nothing by trying!

Once this episode is done, I’ll probably do one of three things:

Call it there and not do any more
Carry on and do the whole thing
Carry on, but only doing some episodes and skipping others

For the moment, at least, I won’t be doing any more. This month I’m doing ZD30 (the screenwriting equivalent of NaNoWriMo), as well as trying to finalise Snowflakes to submit to the BBC Open Call, so my time currently is very limited and I just don’t have the space to continue.

There’s also some other reasons I won’t bore you with, but safe to say, I can’t carry on for now. In the future? Who knows?

But it has been fun for me, and I hope it has been for you too.

Eda: Yeah, so basically about 50% of what you do here will be a crime. We cool with that?

Luz: Yeah, fuck it. Beats sitting in a summer camp.

Funny things that hurt in all the right ways is pretty much my brand at this point. This month I’m writing a comedy script about someone with depression and the opening scene is just the darkest of comedy.
