8-Ball Pool

Good old 8-ball pool could be making a comeback in GTA VI. Pool tables first appeared in GTA: Vice City, and even though we couldn’t actually play on them then, it seems as though they’ll be making a return as more than just decorative items in GTA VI.

Pool first appeared as a mini-game in GTA San Andreas back in 2004. It was then refined and quite a bit more fun to play in GTA IV, although it was still a bit tedious.

Then it vanished from GTA V, and we were left wondering whether we’d ever be able to challenge our virtual friends to a game of pool again. Imagine Trevor from GTA V losing a game of pool against Michael!

Why Pool Might Return in GTA VI

We’re convinced that pool will be making a comeback because it features on Rockstar’s official GTA VI website, in the Cal Hampton 02 screenshot, pictured below.

In the screenshot, we see Cal Hampton watching as Jason prepares to play a shot. They appear to be in a bar of some kind, since a couple of strangers can be seen in the background, holding the same beverage as Cal.

Should pool make its return in GTA VI, it will be interesting to see whether we can bet on games, challenge strangers, or even enter tournaments.
