Steps to reproduce

  1. Start latest nightly
  2. Diff branch against another parent branch
  3. Try to click on any of the "x unmodified lines" buttons in the diff view

Expected behavior

more lines of code are shown

Actual behavior

nothing happens (only the button blinks)

makes the diff pretty unusable for me. Already broken in several past nightlies I've been running, not sure since when it's broken.

I switched to latest turn and then back, and then I was able to expand modified lines in the first file, but the second file again doesn't work. I'm not sure when it works and when it doesn't.

    I tried to reproduce this on current main (dd14848153, which contains your nightly's 08a463e299 plus one unrelated server change). I used the web client against a fresh server and a test repository, and the "N unmodified lines" separators expanded on the first click every time, with no console errors:
    

      

    • feature vs the automatic base, and vs a local parent branch (develop), stacked view, with three files
      • 

    • the same with a 4,000-line file added, so the diff goes over the size limit and files load one by one
      • 

    • a setup shaped like your screenshot: split view, head t3/implement-write-auth, base origin/srb/typescript-dev-base, a file in a subdirectory (convex/auth.ts), and the leading "31 unmodified lines" separator. I expanded the first file and a later file.

    So something in your setup is different. Could you tell us:
    

      

    1. Does the thread run in a T3 worktree, or in the project's main checkout?
      2. 

    2. Was an agent running or editing files in that checkout while you clicked?
      3. 

    3. What does the developer console log when a click does nothing? In the desktop app, open View → Toggle Developer Tools → Console, then click a separator.

    4. Are whitespace changes hidden (the ¶ toggle), and is "Collapse all files" on in Settings?
      5. 

    5. Roughly how many files are in the diff?
