Louise Pretty reposted thisLouise Pretty reposted thisWe are so proud and excited to share that DB Results was a finalist in the AFR BOSS Best Places to Work. This recognition means a lot to us and we realised how big this achievement really is when we were sitting in the awards ceremony last night. Culture is not built through slogans or initiatives alone, it is shaped by daily behaviours. By how we support each other through busy project cycles, create community and connection within the organisation and standards we hold ourselves to. As a profit for purpose business and a certified B Corp (B Lab Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand), we believe that performance and people go hand in hand. Creating an environment where individuals feel valued, challenged and supported is not separate from delivering great outcomes, it is what enables them. Thank you to every member of the DB Results community who contributes to making this a place where people can do meaningful work and grow. Also congratulations to fellow award finalist, there were a few familiar names including current and previous customers. We are proud of this milestone, and even more excited about what we continue to co-create together. #purpose #dbresults #AFRBestPlacesToWork #culture #techforgood The Australian Financial Review | B Lab

Louise Pretty posted thisFor more than four decades I have had the pleasure of working with many excellent leaders and for impressive companies. The majority of my career has been centred around the energy industry and delivering strategic and technology change, which has been both extremely challenging but also very empowering for me as an individual. I have enjoyed every step of the way, and it has been a privilege to work with and build strong relationships with many exceptional people. It is always about the people, and I am honoured to have made many friends throughout the years, who I will continue to enjoy spending time with in the future. For the last 5 years it has been very rewarding to work with the Board and Executive at DB Results to help them transform strategy to reality and support the growth of their leadership team. It has been a pleasure to work with an organisation with such strong values and a very clear purpose. It is time for me to change pace and move into the next chapter of my life. While most people know I have the ‘travel bug’ and have experienced many adventures over recent years, there will be much more travel in the years ahead and more time with our ever-expanding, wonderful family. Those of you who know me well will understand that I find it difficult to sit still, so I am sure there will be the occasional advisory gig in my future as well. 😊 My sincere thanks to the leaders, peers and teams I’ve worked with across the years. It is not farewell – just a shift to the next phase. On to my next adventure! 🙂

Louise Pretty reposted thisLouise Pretty reposted thisOur Melbourne team came together over the weekend for our DB Results Family Day at Luna Park, and it was exactly what we all needed. In a world that is moving fast with business, technology and constant change, days like this remind us of something simple but powerful: play and joy matter. They bring people together in a way that emails and meetings never can. Seeing our people, their partners, their kids laughing, riding rollercoasters, riding on Santa's sleigh, sharing food and cheering each other on was a beautiful reminder of why community is so important. Especially at this time of year, connection really is everything. Luna Park was the perfect backdrop. The rides, the colours, the noise, the energy. The real highlight was the sense of togetherness. Based on the smiles and the “we have to do this every year” comments, it feels like we will be continuing this as a DB Results annual tradition. Thank you to everyone who joined and to the team who made the day happen. Here’s to more moments of joy, play and community in 2026. #DBResults #Culture #Community #Connection #LifeatDBResults

Louise Pretty reposted thisLouise Pretty reposted thisWe gathered for one of our favourite moments of the year at DB Results…Our Annual Awards Night. We treat this night with the same spirit as the Golden Globes and the Brownlow. A meaningful moment to dress up and recognise brilliance, honour dedication and celebrate our people who make this place what it is on the big stage they deserve. We recognise teammates who show up with care and courage, who innovate, who live our values, who lift others up, and who make a real difference to our customers and our culture. Some of the awards on the night included: • Culture Award • Rising Star • Innovation and AI Excellence • Elite Performers across our focused industries • MD and CEO Awards for Excellence • 5, 10, 15 and 20 Year Service Milestones What stood out most was the energy with a buzz across our various locations, creating a genuine sense of community and shared purpose. Celebrating one another matters. Moments like this remind us that great work does not happen by accident. It is created by people who care, who collaborate, who push boundaries and who show up for each other every day. Congratulations to all of our nominees and winners and a huge thank you to every single person at DB Results who puts their heart into what they do. Here is to another year of growing, delivering meaningful work and celebrating our people along the way. #DBResults #Culture #PeopleFirst #CelebratingExcellence #DigitalTransformation #TechForGood

Louise Pretty reposted thisLouise Pretty reposted thisOver the weekend the DB Results crew swapped keyboards for football boots and took part in this year’s Corporate Games. We had an amazing time across our teams, including Mixed Soccer 6s and Mixed and Men’s AFL 9s, full of laughs, energy and plenty of running we are definitely feeling today. Moving our bodies and playing together was a fun way to connect and foster relationships across the team. It reminded us how play and shared experiences can bring people closer in ways that sitting around a meeting table rarely does. A big thank you to everyone who played, cheered or helped organise the day. As proud sponsors of Williamstown Football Club we love supporting the local sporting community and getting involved in events like this. We are already looking forward to the next one. #DBResults #teamwork #corporategames #culture #employmentengagement #TechforGood

Louise Pretty reposted thisLouise Pretty reposted this🩵 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗲 On this week’s Wellness Wednesday with Tom Boyd, Candy D'Menzie GAICD, Chief Philanthropy and Clinical Advisor at DB Results, and Dr Tahnee Bridson, psychiatrist and founder of Hand-n-Hand Services Ltd, joined the conversation on mental health and wellbeing. They explored how small daily habits can have a powerful impact on how we feel and function. Candy explained the “5 big factors” used as first line therapy by psychologists for patient management which are: 𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗱, 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲, 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, which need to be balanced to operate at our best. Dr Tahnee Bridson spoke about her own mental health challenges and the lack of support for frontline workers in healthcare. It’s the reason she started Hand-n-Hand and also why she is so passionate about driving support mechanisms in the workplace. Dr Bridson reinforced the importance of the 5 big factors in keeping people well and how we shouldn’t just monitor these but also get into the habit so they become a regular daily activity. Candy shared how the 𝗠𝗶𝗢𝗞 app helps people see their own data and connect the dots between physical and mental health and take early action when something feels off. MiOK offers mood tracking with journaling, health checks for indicators like steps, sleep, heart rate, and blood pressure, and personalised goal setting with reminders for hydration, exercise, and appointments. The app integrates seamlessly with Apple Health and Google Fit, ensuring secure data handling and privacy throughout. When it comes to our mental health, as Candy says it best, “𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲”. Louise Pretty liked thisLouise Pretty liked thisIs AI the Horse or the Cart? Everyone is experimenting with AI. It is now a line item in most organisations’ budgets and, for many, a growing and ongoing investment. Despite billions being invested globally, many organisations are still struggling to answer a simple question: "What business outcome are we actually trying to achieve?" The uncomfortable reality is that most organisations are approaching AI backwards. They start with the technology, and hope value follows. The organisations seeing the greatest success start with the value and work backwards to determine where AI can help deliver it. Organisation are committing to solutions before clearly understanding the problems they are trying to solve. Too often AI is treated as a technology project instead of a business transformation initiative. As a result, organisations end up with impressive demonstrations, but limited business impact. They automate tasks that were not constraining performance. They build assistants nobody uses. They measure activity rather than outcomes. AI becomes another technology layer instead of a competitive advantage. The questions we should be asking are: - Where are we losing the most time? - Where are our people struggling to access information? - Which decisions take too long? - Which operational processes create the most friction? - Where do customers experience the greatest frustration? - What would create the most measurable value if improved? Only once these questions are answered should AI enter the conversation. Technology should be the response to a problem, not the starting point. #DBResults #AI

Louise Pretty liked thisLouise Pretty liked thisA Night at the Gallery wasn't just an event, it was an experience. Thank you to everyone who joined us for A Night at the Gallery, DB Results' Annual Customer Event at the NGV. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the year in such a striking setting, with our customers, partners and community. With a brilliant talk from guest speaker Dara Simkin on play, adaptability and the permission to fail, the room was filled with belly laughs, along with some potent reminders of what it means to be human. In an age where AI is reshaping how we work, it was a timely reminder that human connection still matters most. "People will forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel." - Maya Angelou. Events like this remind us that the strongest results come from the relationships we build with our customers and partners along the way. #DBResults #Connection #Stayhuman #BCorp #Culture National Gallery of Victoria

Louise Pretty liked thisLouise Pretty liked thisAgeing well doesn’t start when something goes wrong. It starts with preparation. I’m not recovering from a specific injury. I’m still playing football, staying active, and trying to keep doing the things I enjoy for as long as I can. For over a year, I’ve been using #MiOK, and one thing it has reinforced for me is that small, consistent changes are what build lasting habits. That same thinking is why I was open to trying Kieser when it was suggested to me. I had known about Kieser for a while, mainly through the many stories of people recovering from back and neck injuries. I always thought it was primarily for people in recovery. But after spending time with Hamish McConnell at Kieser King Street in Melbourne, I saw it differently. The equipment is unlike the gym gear I grew up with. It’s designed to vary resistance through the full movement, helping strengthen muscles in a more controlled and targeted way. Just as importantly, Hamish helped me understand the technique, pace and discipline required to get the most benefit. For me, the goal is simple: to have my muscles ready when I need them, not only after a 30-minute warm-up. That means moving with more confidence, reducing the risk of soft tissue injuries, and giving myself the best chance to keep doing the things I love. As I get older, I’m realising quality of life is not something we should leave to chance. It’s something we can actively influence through the habits and choices we make now. I’m sharing this because I think it’s an important reminder that looking after ourselves doesn’t need to wait until something breaks. If this prompts even one person to think differently about strength, movement, ageing or prevention, then it’s worth sharing. Thanks Hamish and Kieser for the experience. #Prevention_is_better_than_cure, #HealthandWellbeing, #HealthCare, #Health, #Wellness, #Kieser

Louise Pretty liked thisLouise Pretty liked thisIn 2018 I joined a startup called Archa as employee #3. What you're actually buying at that point is your belief in the founder. All of the rest is just an idea and a little bit of vapourware. I believed in Oliver Kidd 110%. We started out as an aspiring neo-bank, but along the way, Oliver spotted a gap in the market, in the way the best founders do: by living it. Banks didn't want to give small businesses like us a credit card without personal guarantees, director sign-offs and a trip to a branch. He thought that was ripe for disruption. So Oliver pivoted, from consumer banking into corporate cards and spend management, and then did the least glamorous thing in fintech: he kept going. Through licensing. Through COVID. Through a funding market that swallowed most of the neobank era whole. Eight years on, Archa is a principal Mastercard issuer, raised more than $24 million in their last funding round, and is a serious player in Australian corporate payments. I'm so proud of Oliver and the team. Not just for the outcome, but for how they got there. Grit, vision, and the willingness to let go of your first idea in pursuit of a better one. And a reminder for anyone who thinks you need to be in San Francisco to build something real: startup culture is alive and well in Cremorne.

Louise Pretty liked thisLouise Pretty liked thisI'm excited to share that I've joined Australia Post as General Manager, Customer Experience Transformation. It's a privilege to be part of an organisation that plays such an important role in connecting and supporting communities, businesses and customers across Australia. It was a great opportunity to attend the Online Retailer Conference this week, hearing directly from customers and industry leaders about the exciting possibilities ahead as retail and eCommerce continue to evolve. This also marks the end of an incredible chapter at AGL. I'd like to sincerely thank the teams, partners and leaders I had the privilege of working with over the past three years. I'm proud of what we achieved together and grateful for the support, learning and friendships that made my time there so memorable. I'm looking forward to this next chapter and the opportunity to help shape the future customer experience at Australia Post.

Louise Pretty liked thisLouise Pretty liked thisAfter 26 years at IBM, I've taken the leap. There comes a point where you realise the best work of your career is still ahead of you — and that to do it, you need to move. I'm grateful for everything those 26 years gave me. The clients, the challenges, the brilliant people, and the problems that seemed impossible until they weren't. That experience is part of me. But I've always been at my best when I'm close to the problem, working alongside clients, with the freedom to bring my whole self to the work — and the time felt right to back myself and do exactly that. So I'm excited to share that I've joined DataAIT as a Partner, focusing on Data & AI strategy, transformation, and advisory across Australia. After more than two decades working with organisations across financial services, telecommunications, energy, and consumer sectors — I've seen firsthand how transformative Data & AI can be when it's approached with the right strategy, the right expertise, and genuine partnership. I've also seen how easy it is to get stuck. The technology moves fast. The pressure is real. And the gap between ambition and outcomes can be frustratingly wide. That's the space I want to work in — helping organisations bridge that gap, cut through the noise, and solve the problems that actually matter. Jointly, as a true partner, not just an advisor on the sidelines. If you're thinking about your Data & AI journey — whether you're just starting, stuck in the middle, or trying to accelerate — I'd genuinely love to have a conversation. And to the many people I've worked with over the years: thank you. I hope our paths cross again soon — perhaps in a new and more interesting context. #DataAI #Transformation #Advisory #NewChapter #DataAIT

An interesting day yesterday at the CEDA - Committee for Economic Development of Australia AI Leadership Summit. What resonated most from the summit were the three powerful principles proposed by Andrew Charlton as a yardstick for what good AI looks like for Australia, and captures what we’re building at Sovereign Australia AI: Capture the economic benefit Australia’s AI investment shouldn’t flow offshore. Every dollar we invest in AI should stay in our economy, ensuring our nation captures the value we create rather than exporting it to Silicon Valley. Equitable access True digital sovereignty means ALL Australians, government, enterprise, researchers, and startups, have equal access to AI capabilities without US export controls or prioritisation policies. We’re not second-tier customers. Sovereign AI ensures no Australian is locked out of the AI revolution. Safety Safety isn’t just about model alignment, it’s about data sovereignty. When your AI provider operates under US laws like the CLOUD Act, your data is never truly secure. Australian-owned infrastructure means Australian law protects Australian data. Full stop. No foreign government access. No extraterritorial complications. This isn’t just good policy, it’s the foundation of Australia’s digital independence. #AILeadership #DigitalSovereignty #SovereignAI #AustralianInnovation #CEDA2025 #ai #LLM

This is big. Three things NSW’s IT outsourcing overhaul got right (that most of us get wrong): 1. They admitted their current model was built for yesterday’s problems 2. They chose flexibility over efficiency 3. They are treating vendors like a portfolio, not a marriage The old model: Two big contracts, traditional service management, legacy thinking. The new model: Six specialised capabilities, multiple providers, built-in competition. Great stuff👌! It is basically the difference between putting all your money in one stock versus diversifying your portfolio. Same risk management principles, applied to vendor relationships. Sometimes the ‘riskier’ approach (or I call it building antifragile systems) is actually the safer long-term play. Thoughts? #VendorManagement #DigitalTranformation #ITStrategy https://lnkd.in/gxgdK2XR
