So sometimes, instead of finding the words, we can simply do something. Share. Donate. Send some love. Help someone get home to the people who need them most 🤍 Linda has been part of the SPARK community since the very early days, has been there through every one of my stumbles and I’m very happy to share this for her today. While many of my connections here on LinkedIn are strictly business, some friendships have grown over the years... And I'm grateful for all of my connections. You may have seen that I have pulled back from focusing on the business recently and this is why.... Help Me Be There for My Sister Karen When She Needs It Most As some of you may already know, my family is going through an unbelievably difficult time right now. My sister, Karen, is facing a severe health crisis, and the road ahead is overwhelming. From navigating complex medical treatments and care provisions to figuring out living arrangements and making agonizing decisions about the future, she is dealing with more than anyone should have to bear alone. While we are deeply grateful for the amazing friends back home wrapping their arms around her, trying to manage all of this from halfway across the world is heartbreaking. Being so far away when the person you love most is hurting is a pain I can’t fully put into words. Because financial constraints are making the cost of travel impossible right now, a dear friend set up a GoFundMe campaign to help bring me home to Canada: https://lnkd.in/gHMaxWdv Growing up, Karen was the ultimate big sister. She was my protector, my constant, and the person who always made sure I was safe, happy, and loved. She has given so much to me throughout my life—and now, when she needs me most, I need to be by her side. Danielle Lewis shared thisThe biggest insight from my July business audits? Almost every founder told me the same thing. "Revenue is my number one priority." Then we opened their calendars. Their task lists. Their project boards. And do you know what I found? Almost every hour was being spent on: ✔️ improving products ✔️ tweaking systems ✔️ refining websites ✔️ creating new resources ✔️ delivering for existing clients All important work. But almost nothing was dedicated to: → building brand awareness → generating leads → starting conversations → making offers → creating opportunities for new revenue. There was a disconnect between the goal... and the work. To be clear.. This isn't about working harder. It's about making sure your calendar reflects your priorities. Because your business grows in the direction of your time. Yes, there will always be admin. There will always be client delivery. There will always be improvements you could make. But if revenue is genuinely your biggest priority, your diary should prove it. Here's a simple challenge: Open your calendar from the past two weeks. If someone had to guess your number one business priority based only on how you spent your time... would they get it right? If not, you've just found your biggest opportunity for next month. And if you are anything like me, if it's not in your calendar it doesn't happen, so physically schedule it in for yourself. The waitress asked why I was in Melbourne, having a wine at 2:30pm on a Tuesday and after explaining what I do and why I was there she said “wow… your life sounds so cool” A nice reminder that little Kayla would be so proud 🥲
