You search for name ideas, and suddenly half the available options seem to end in .io. The names look sharp. They feel modern. They also raise a practical question for an Australian business owner: is this just startup styling, or does it make sense for your business? That's where most advice on .io falls short. It usually stops at “tech companies use it” and leaves out the real decision points. If you...

🚨 The co-founder of Webflow is back. After helping build a platform that powers ~1% of the internet's websites... Bryant Chou has returned with a new startup called Ploy. And its goal isn't just to build websites. It's to run your marketing while you sleep. 1/ Bryant Chou helped build Webflow. A company that changed how websites are created. Now he's in the latest YC batch building something new: Ploy. 2/ Most AI website builders stop after creating a site. Ploy starts there. Then it connects to: • Analytics • CRM • Search Console • Marketing data And keeps optimizing automatically. 3/ The vision is simple: Don't just generate a website. Generate business growth. 4/ One phrase stood out: "Anti-slop." In a world flooded with generic AI content, Ploy aims to create systems that understand context and produce meaningful outcomes. 5/ This highlights a bigger shift happening in startups. The winners aren't necessarily people using AI. They're people combining AI with deep domain expertise. 6/ For years, software was the advantage. Today, software is increasingly accessible. The new moat is knowing the problem better than anyone else. 7/ AI is lowering the cost of building. But understanding customers, industries, and workflows is becoming more valuable. Not less. 8/ The comeback story of 2026 may not be AI founders. It may be domain experts using AI. The people who spent years understanding a specific problem now have superpowers. #AI #Startups #YC #Webflow #Marketing #SaaS #Ecommerce

For the past few months, we've been quietly building something different. Not another website. Not another client project. Something we've wanted to create for a long time. We've spent the last two years building websites. Then dashboards. Then systems. We've worked with a handful of amazing clients, learning from every project and asking ourselves the same question: What if we could take everything we've learned and build something of our own? Now we're building something that sits somewhere in between. It's not a website builder. It's not a dashboard. And it's not another platform that expects you to spend hours configuring everything yourself. We've been exploring ideas around: • Premium digital experiences that don't look like templates • Turning complex setups into simple workflows • Systems that adapt to how people work, not the other way around • AI that quietly handles the tedious parts behind the scenes • Giving organizations complete control without requiring technical knowledge We're keeping the details private for now. But here's one hint: We're building a SaaS product that feels less like software. After two years of building for others, we're excited to finally build something for ourselves. More next month. #tsukubatech #saas #comingsoon #startup #buildinpublic #aitech #japantech

Why I built http://allio.tools Like many people, I spent years jumping between websites just to complete simple tasks. One site to format JSON. Another to convert files. A third to generate hashes. Then another overloaded with ads, popups, paywalls, forced signups, and endless distractions. What should have taken seconds often turned into minutes. That frustration became an idea. What if there was one place where anyone could access useful tools instantly? No accounts. No subscriptions. No unnecessary complexity. Just simple tools that solve real problems. That idea eventually became allio.tools. The goal was never to build the biggest platform. The goal was to build something genuinely useful. Every tool added to the platform starts with the same question: "Will this save someone time?" Today, allio.tools includes more than 160 browser-based tools covering developers, students, creators, marketers, business owners, and everyday internet users. Some tools help people write code. Some help with calculations. Some improve productivity. Some solve small problems that happen every day. None of them require installation. Most take only a few seconds to use. What started as a simple side project has become a constant process of learning, improving, and listening. The most rewarding part has been seeing people use the platform in ways I never expected and sharing ideas for what should come next. This is still the early stage of the journey. There are more tools to build. More improvements to make. More problems to solve. Thank you to everyone who has visited, tested a tool, shared feedback, or supported the project along the way. The next version of allio.tools will be shaped by the people who use it. Building in public continues. 🌐 allio.tools #BuildInPublic #IndieHacker #StartupJourney #WebTools #Productivity #Developers #Makers #SaaS #Entrepreneurship #DigitalTools #FounderStory

DAY 21 – 100 Business Ideas. BIG Impact. Platformization Have you built a business… or a system where others can build value on top of you? Platform businesses outperform traditional models because they don’t just sell a product or service—they enable transactions, interactions, and value exchange between other participants. Instead of linear value creation (you sell → customer buys), platforms create network value (many participants create value for each other through your system)—they become the infrastructure layer where the market happens. The key shift is this: Don't scale by adding more output; scale by increasing participation. So, As participation grows, value compounds without requiring proportional increases in resources. Think about the evolution: A hotel chain builds more hotels. -Airbnb enables more hosts. A retailer stocks more products. -Amazon enables millions of sellers. A software company builds more features. -Shopify enables millions of businesses to build their own. This is why platform models tend to dominate categories once they reach critical mass—they convert distribution, demand, and supply into self-reinforcing growth loops. The strategic question isn’t “What else can I sell?” It’s: “What ecosystem could I enable where my customers create value for each other—and I benefit every time they do?” ***Here are several good platformization examples: *** 1.Shopify – Rather than simply selling software, it enables millions of merchants, app developers, theme designers, payment providers, and fulfillment partners to create value within its ecosystem. 2.Salesforce – Started as CRM software but evolved into a platform where partners build applications, integrations, and consulting businesses on top of its infrastructure. 3.Stripe – More than a payment processor, it provides infrastructure that enables developers, marketplaces, SaaS companies, and financial products to build on its APIs. 4.Etsy – Doesn't manufacture products. It connects independent creators with buyers, while providing tools, advertising, and payment services that strengthen the ecosystem. 5.GitHub – Developers collaborate, companies recruit talent, open-source communities contribute code, and software tools integrate into the platform. 6.YouTube – Creators produce content, viewers consume it, advertisers fund it, and creators earn revenue—all through the platform's network effects. 7.Fiverr – Enables businesses and freelancers to transact while adding trust, payments, reviews, and discovery. 8.Epic Games – Beyond developing games, it operates an ecosystem through Unreal Engine, the Epic Games Store, and creator tools that enable others to build businesses. 9.Adobe – Increasingly a creative platform where designers, plugin developers, stock contributors, AI creators, and enterprise workflows connect through Creative Cloud. #100DaysOfImpact #BusinessIdeas #BusinessGrowth #Strategy #Platforms #Innovation #Scaling #Entrepreneurship

I used to underestimate how much thinking goes into building software that people actually use. For the last few months, I’ve been working on a few ideas and projects that have pushed me to think much deeper about product building. And one thing I’ve realised is that building is very different from just having an idea. When the idea is in your head, everything feels clear. But once you start building, every feature opens up 10 more questions. What should happen in edge cases? How should users actually move through the flow? What should be automated and what should stay manual? What data is actually useful, and what is just noise? This process has made me respect product building a lot more. A good product is not just about features, UI, or technology. It is about understanding real workflows, real problems, and real user behaviour. Still learning, still building, and slowly turning ideas into something real. #digitalproducts #ProductBuilding #SaaS #Entrepreneurship #FounderJourney #ProductThinking

The companies growing fastest today aren't necessarily spending more on marketing. They're building better systems. A website that converts. A CRM that eliminates manual work. An app customers actually enjoy using. A backend infrastructure that scales without breaking. The difference between growing and struggling often isn't effort. It's technology. At Birthonik, we've seen businesses unlock growth simply by replacing outdated processes with scalable digital solutions. The question isn't: "Do we need custom software?" It's: "How much growth are we losing because we don't have it?" What's the biggest operational bottleneck your business faces today? #SoftwareDevelopment #DigitalTransformation #WebDevelopment #MobileAppDevelopment #BusinessGrowth #CustomSoftware #CloudComputing #Innovation #StartupGrowth #TechStartup #SaaS #Entrepreneurship #BusinessAutomation #DigitalProducts #SoftwareDevelopment #ScalingBusiness

Picture the software that got you your first 100 customers. It's often the same software quietly stopping you from reaching 1,000. Founders rarely see it coming. The tool didn't break. You outgrew it. Here's how it shows up, in plain terms: Everything still runs through one person's head. At 10 customers, "just ask Sara" works. At 500, Sara is the bottleneck, and nobody else can cover her. Every new feature breaks two old ones. The system was built for the size you were, not the size you are. Now each change costs more than the last and ships more slowly. Your team quietly stops using the tool. The real workflow has moved to spreadsheets, sticky notes, and DMs the software can't see. That gap is where mistakes and lost revenue hide. None of this means you built the wrong thing. You built the right thing for a smaller company. Outgrowing your software is a success problem. The expensive version is waiting until it fully breaks to deal with it. What's one workaround your team relies on every day that the software should just handle by itself? I rebuild and extend web apps for founders who've outgrown version one (Checkout portfolio from the profile ✌🏻) this is Day 3 of me posting here every single day. road to 10k (currently 4k, come grow with me). connect + like if you're in. it genuinely helps the reach :) PS. The scariest software is the one nobody wants to touch because "it somehow still works." That's usually the one holding the whole thing up. 😬 #saas #startups #webdevelopment
