Happy Halloween

When autumn arrives, the line between reality and dreams grows thin. In the silence of foggy nights, pumpkin lanterns glow to remind us that even in the heart of darkness, we can create beauty and light… Happy Halloween [DEVIATION] Let the autumn wind turn the old pages; tonight is the night of dancing shadows and the glow of kind [DEVIATION] [DEVIATION] [DEVIATION] [DEVIATION] Pumpkin lanterns remind us that even in the darkest nights, we can kindle a light of hope and beauty [DEVIATION] [DEVIATION] Let the autumn wind turn the old pages and carry us to the land of lost fairy tales [DEVIATION] [DEVIATION] The beauty of this night lies not in fear, but in discovering the secrets hidden within the quiet autumn darkness [DEVIATION] [DEVIATION] Sometimes, to see the magic of the world, it is enough to take refuge in the solitude of shadows and surrender to our dreams. A New Role: DA-Ambassador

Hello dear community, I wanted to take a brief moment to share wonderful news with all of you. As of yesterday, I was brought on as a DeviantART Ambassador by @vagrantscout! I am very excited to have an official capacity to do more hands-on projects— as many of you already know, I am a Literature community minded deviant and have hosted and posted a plethora of different activities, contests, journal features and projects over the course of my twenty-one years, so I am sure many of you are familiar with me and what I aim to do on DeviantART. [DEVIATION] What is a DA-Ambassador and what do they do? To quote @DA-Ambassadors, "Deviants who are part of the Ambassador program help plan and run community and creative events, giving artists an opportunity to better delve into the world of DeviantArt with the support of someone trusted in their community. As part of these events, ambassadors are expected to interact with other deviants and be a positive force, encouraging artists to

Have you ever seen a staff or volunteer symbol or ambassador badge and wondered "Who DAt?" Welcome to the interview series that's hittin' DA streets to find out more about these very deviants. [EMOTE] Featuring a Wild Card question which is selected at random from a pool of questions. If you have a suggested random/fun question to add to the list, please feel free to comment here. [DEVIATION] Ahoy! If you'd be so kind, what is your preferred name? Also, do tell, what is the delightfully devious story of your username? Zsu works! My username is well.. Back when I made my account I was a still teenager and very much into anime, and I probably thought combining a Japanese word with an English one would be peak cool kid name. [EMOTE] How did you first discover DeviantArt and how did it connect to your heArt? I don't even remember anymore! It was still the very early days of DeviantArt (it was probably no more than a few months old at the time), and I was probably looking for winamp skins

Not the most interesting story -- I just shortened my last name to "Lev" just because that's way too many letters for people to remember. How did you first discover DeviantArt and how did it connect to your heArt? Way back in the day, I had an online friend who used to share her poetry on DeviantArt. She would link it to me occasionally and I started exploring more and realizing there was all types of art on DeviantArt. I loved

My nickname on the internet is acouaria so I'll go with that. I use to play a online mmo I believe and it was called fragoria and I name my character acouaria, because I had just gotten the Nintendo 3ds when it came out, and the box said "aqua blue" and I really liked and also with the fact that I liked swimming and tada! How did you first discover DeviantArt and how did it connect to your heArt? I first discovered DA when I became a sonic fan, I remember

[GIF] [EMOTE] [EMOTE] [EMOTE] My name is Genesis, but I'm better known as @Pascua-Tanya or simply Pascua [EMOTE]. You can call me whatever you like. I live in Venezuela [EMOTE] and specialize in traditional painting (semi-professionally), digital art, and fan art. Currently, I'm a Fan Art Community Volunteer and Ambassador for @Fan-Art-World, @CRAnime-Manga, and @DevNews [EMOTE] [EMOTE]. I got my CV role in October 2024 (it’s already been two years—time flies!). Since then, I've been actively highlighting Daily Deviations and running challenges in my groups to promote the talent, creativity, and effort of all the amazing artists in the fan art community [EMOTE]. I've been a member on DeviantArt for almost 17 years, having joined when the platform began its upgrade to its classic Version 7, and I've watched it grow into what it is today. My username comes from Pascua and Tanya, my first original female characters, created between 2006 and 2009 when I started writing

I changed my username a few years back to rebrand myself as an adult, and I have always been into epic transmedia storytelling like Marvel and Buffy, so I exist in the Lauren Cinematic Universe, or TheLaurenVerse. How did you first discover DeviantArt and how did it connect to your heArt? I discovered DeviantArt when I was writing a novel in college, and I wanted reference material so I could better picture my characters and their environments. I

Fan Art Friday: Coraline

0 min read

[EMOTE] [EMOTE] [EMOTE] [EMOTE] 🗝 ⚉ Welcome to a new Fan Art Friday! We say goodbye to the month of terror by paying tribute to Coraline, one of the most terrifying, well-known, and acclaimed animated films of all time. Coraline (2009) is a horror film made using stop-motion animation, a technique that involves capturing a series of photographs of static objects and moving them slightly between each shot. Playing these images back in rapid succession creates the illusion of continuous movement. It was directed by Henry Selick (who also directed The Nightmare Before Christmas, among other films.), produced by Laika, and based on the novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman. This film tells the story of a girl named Coraline, who moves with her parents to a new house called Pink Palace Apartments, where she meets several eccentric neighbors, a boy named Wybie Lovat, and his cat. Coraline's parents don't have much time for her because they are busy with their work. Soon, she finds a
